A tire defect has prompted a voluntary recall by the makers of Masterkidz Wooden Vespa Style Scooters. THE DEFECTIVE TIRES MAY EXPLODE DURING INFLATION. The health and safety of our customers and staff are our highest priorities. We ask customers who have purchased this Scooter not to inflate the tires (explosion risk), and to return it to any Indigo or Chapters location for a full refund, no receipt is required. No other products in our assortment are affected in any way by this manufacturer’s recall. We regret this issue and sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. We bought this for our three year old son...but while we were putting it together we blew the tire. We have to now order a new tire now before our son was even able to try it out. Be cautious putting it together.

We gave to this to my son for his birthday yesterday. When my husband blew up the tire (using significantly less air pressure than recommended) the entire wheel broke. We tried to exchange it today and was told that it was the second one returned THAT day for the same reason. Of course (grr) we could not find our receipt so had to take a credit for less than we paid. I will never buy an INDIGO toy product again. Cute designs, but the tears of my 2 year old as his toy was packed up were not worth it.
