Size: 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall; Little, Brown Hardcover with Jacket Fine/Very Good. Black boards silver titled on spine. Solid, square, corners sharp, clean and unmarked. Internals clean, clear and unmarked. Jacket white black lettered with illustration of the King of clubs and snippets of computer printing. Some ruffling at spine ends. There is residue of what looks like an anti-theft device on cover verso (sticky covering it now as it is sticky itself). An unfinished novel left by Wallace when he committed suicide in 2008. After Wallace's suicide on September 12, 2008, a manuscript and associated computer files were found by his widow, Karen Green, and his agent, Bonnie Nadell. That material was compiled by his friend and editor Michael Pietsch into the form that was eventually published. Wallace had been working on the novel for over a decade. Hard to know exactly what the book is about other than boredom and ennui with life, work, people. Little, Brown and Company, New York. 2001 Third Printing. 6.25" x 9.5" tall; x, 548pp. with Notes and Asides.
