I got so much out of this book, I love the way she incorporates a yoga session with each chapter, to go along with what ever life has thrown your way (emotions, situations etc). A must read for sure!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything You Want in A Yoga Pose Book This book has everything you want, including beautiful pictures, a variety of yogis performing the poses, intermediary poses for more advanced postures, and a general progression of variations for most levels of yoga practitioners (and a great inspirational text for those just starting out). The author is also very connected to his readership through social mediums which is incredible. Cannot say enough wonderful things about this book and what it has already done for my home practice.

It has very appealing photos to demonstrate each pose, a brief description of variations, the sanskrit and English name, the drishti point, pose type. I would say this is NOT for beginners as there's little to no instruction. It's more for people who already have a fundamental understanding of yoga practice. I do like that this book doesn't include extensive history and theory and focuses mainly on the individual poses and variations. This is a great book for instructors who are looking to refresh their classes with poses they aren't currently including, as there are so many to forget about!

The one yoga book you need I've looked through various yoga reference material including the ashtanga series charts, the 608 Dharma Mittra poses, but have felt unsatisfied knowing that there must be other possibilities and approaches to the practice of yoga. This book is the answer to what I have always been looking for! This book is not only a great reference for all yogis of all types of practice but also a work of art! After getting this book, you'll be anxious to get on your mat - it is truly inspirational.
