This diet is amazing...not only did I lose about 15 lbs in just 3 weeks, I also referred it to my sister who is already down 11 lbs in about 2 weeks - I find it incredibly easy to follow and it is totally goof-proof - in fact, it does not feel like a diet at all. For those who are griping about preparation time, not all the recipes in the book are time consming - some are a simple as creating egg white omlettes in the microwave. Even after the 6 days, you can still follow the principals for everyday eating and the weight continues to fall off. I would highly recommend this book as it really works and fast too!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hard to live with but it works My husband and I did this diet together. We went into it all gung-ho and determined that this would be the diet to "fix" our metabolisms and get us on track towards a new, healthy lifestyle. Well, the diet is very challenging to stick to. My husband, in particular, had a hard time with it because he was having to eat so much food. The portion sizes for men are double the amount for women. We both found the food choice very limited (there's a reason they don't recommend you stay on this diet for more than 6 days!!). We tried almost all the recipes in the book (we even spent over $100 on spices from the shopping list in the book) but most of the foods we only ate because we had to. There was really nothing enjoyable about any of it. The highlight of the day was having the fresh berries. Do you know how strange it feels to be eating chicken and greens at 10:00 in the morning? Well, yesterday was day 4 and we were both feeling really discouraged and decided we couldn't live on this diet anymore. The food prep time alone was crazy. This is not a diet where you can just throw together your meals for the day on your way out the door to work. Plus the challenge of finding foods without sodium. I don't know where the author shops but the regular grocery store doesn't have alot of options for "sodium free" diets. Reduced sodium, yes. Sodium free, no. So I stood on the scale this morning to see how I did having only completed 2/3 of the plan. I lost 7 pounds in four days and two inches off my waist (I didn't measure anywhere else before I started the diet). So, does it work? Apparently so. Would I recommend it? Yes - if you're very dedicated and can devote alot of time to cooking and food preparation AND you don't mind eating the same, bland food over and over again. I did learn alot about balancing my foods and I'll continue to eat 6 times a day and try not to eat too much sodium in my diet. But I don't think I'd ever do this exact diet plan again.
