Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the space on my shelf This is not a book you can just borrow from the library. This is a book you will go back to again and again. This is the book I NEEDED to get the most out of our bread machine and the one book I would recommend to any of my friends who buy a bread machine. I've had years and years of pleasure from this book, from making hot cross buns from scratch at Easter to making mouth watering Chinese Char Sui Bao better than I could buy at any store. We've easily made back the money we've spent on the book just from the number of times I've made pizza dough in the bread machine using their recipes. And what can be easier, 5 minutes of assembling the ingredients, then out pops out fresh bread a few hours later. Even a busy mom can do this. It is literally faster than a trip to the store to buy bread! I get so many complements when I bring fresh bread to potlucks. Everyone loves bread! I've recommended this book to moms with gluten intolerant kids. Gluten free bread costs a mint at the store and although I've never tried them, there are a few gluten free recipes in this book that you can make at home. If you are considering a bread machine book, buy this one. I have 6 or 7, but this one is by far the best. There are comprehensive tips for any ingredient in this book. Why chance it on recipes on the internet when you can follow a trusted guide like Beth Hensperger and be guaranteed good results! Your time is too valuable to be wasted on lesser recipes!

I am happy as a clam just leafing through the pages. I've tried a few - two were fab; one not so much, and that was my fault because I didn't trust the recipe and added too much water. And who knew you could make pasta dough in your bread machine??

I thought the little cook book I got with my new bread maker was pretty good until I got this book. Not only are there a great variety of recipes but there are tons of very helpful tips and information related to baking bread. Recipes are good but information that helps you understand what you are doing is even more valuable as far as I'm concerned! Every recipe I've tried has turned out quite well, some better than others but the exciting part is they are getting progressively better so it's very encouraging! I even made whole wheat pizza dough that was just amazing.... the pizza turned out like a gourmet pizza and I've never made bread or pizza dough before. No more store bought bread or pizza for me and my family!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth every penny This is a great cookbook for people who use their bread machine a lot. It's even better for those who never use their bread machines because they got bored of eating the same boring, brick-like loaves. The author knows an incredible amount about bread and how to make it. There's a wealth of recipes for many different kinds of bread, all of which seem to have been thoroughly tested. Each recipe gives instructions for 1 1/2 lb as well as 2 lb machines. Most of the bread recipes call for baking in the machine, although many of the European style or artisinal breads just use the Dough function. It is suitable for novice bakers and the more adventurous.

Hi everyone and especially Beth Hensperger, I am new to the bread machine world and yesterday I went to Chapters here in Montreal to get a copy of "Bread Machine cookbook" and I can't take my eyes of it since yesterday. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Excellent I used to work in a bakery & a fine cuisine, and this is the most conclusive and complete bread machine book I have seen to date. Especially with different kinds of flours, Beth Hensperger knows exactly what she's doing with the bread and why, and she lets us in on those little secrets as well (don't tell my mom, but I'm buying one for her for mother's day, she saw the book and LOVED it, and she's very particular about her breads)
