about

Bella Rossi may be nearing thirty, but her life is just starting to get interesting. When her Italian-turned-Texan parents hand over the family wedding planning business, Bella is determined not to let them down. She quickly books a "Boot Scoot'n" wedding that would make any Texan proud. There's only one catch--she's a country music numbskull because her family only listens to Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. Where will she find a DJ on such short notice who knows his Alan Jackson from his Keith Urban?

When a misunderstanding leads her to the DJ (and man) of her dreams, things start falling into place. But with a family like hers, nothing is guaranteed. Can the perfect Texan wedding survive a pizza-making uncle with mob ties, an aunt who is a lawsuit waiting to happen, and a massive delivery of 80 cowboy boots? And will Bella ever get to plan her own wedding?

Book one in the Weddings by Bella series, Fools Rush In is fun, fresh, and full of surprises. Readers will love the flavorful combination of Italian and Tex-Mex, and the hilarity that ensues when cultures clash.
Janice Thompson is a seasoned romance author and native Texan. An experienced wedding coordinator herself, Thompson brings the everyday drama and humor of getting married alive in her books. She lives in Texas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love love love I love this book so much. A really adorable romance novel with a wonderfully crazy Italian family, southern charm, weddings and faith. It's the first of a series and it's definitely my favourite.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not my thing The prose seems rather amateurish and the situations seem contrived. I liked the idea that DJ enjoys Bella disasters and all. The message to trust in God was in there, but seemed forced rather than natural.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LAUGH-OUT LOUD!!!! A new series for Janice Thompson titled: "Weddings BY Bella" and beginning with "Fools Rush In", this is Book One! What an enjoyable, laugh-out-loud, slow and let 'er all hang out Southern Family meets loud and boisterous Italian Family!! Bella Rossi, a young 20 something is handed her Italian turned Texas parents wedding business to run on her own so they can retire and take trips and vacations knowing the business they've built over the years will survive with Bella at the helm. Living in Texas, Bella's first "themed" wedding she needs to pull off is a "Boot-Scootin" wedding that will make any Texan proud but Bella's first problem is she doesn't know a thing about country music and where in the world is she going to find a Deejay in time? This turns out to be only the first in a long line of "firsts" for Bella. Where is she going to find 25 Texan boots that the bride wants on the tables in the reception hall filled with flowers and flags? Or someone who can cook up the best Texan stylebarbecue anyone has ever seen and tasted, but the bride-to-be still wants an "Italian" wedding cake. The laughs just keep coming and coming. Wait until you read what happens at the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner. Believe me, you'll need a box of kleenex to keep the tears at bay so your eyes are clear enough from the laughter to keep reading!! And why is Bella always planning other people's weddings and never her own? Will she ever plan her own wedding? Isn't she going to marry Tony the wonderful 'Italian boy' her parents have always liked? Well, we find out THAT's NOT going to happen? So is Bella doomed to be a wedding "planner" her entire life or a wedding "participant", as in the form of a "bride"? This is a wonderful story of firsts, relationships, love, pride, and being surprised at how you can just "happen" to stumble upon love. Take heed friends, this series is gonna be great!!
