about

A multiracial story that focuses not on race, but on the human condition in need of the divine. The ongoing battle between good and evil affects us all, regardless of race, age, gender or beliefs. One young woman, Elise Everson, searches for the ultimate truth to make sense of it all. Through the influence of a pastor, a friend, and a young architect who has her heart, Elise finds that truth in Christ. As her relationship with Christ blossoms, she is challenged by her growing love for Josiah Alexander. Both relationships are severely tested by a tragedy close to home and a sociopaths threat to her life. Through it all, Elise discovers the incredible assurance that God in her is enough for any circumstances.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from fantastic first! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The story was an interesting mixture of romance and suspense, written from an evangelical point of view. I thought it was well written, particularly because it is the author's first published book. It's great to have a fictional title which will appeal to many different people, considering the multiracial components of the story. The book held my attention until the end. I will look forward to the author's next book!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Read! This book was a very enjoyable read, and one I had a hard time putting down! When I did manage to put it down, the believable characters and well-crafted story kept me continually wondering what would happen next. This story examines everything that life brings our way: love, relationships, fears, heartaches, defeats and victories. It encounters the spiritual aspect of human life realistically, in a way that few novels do. Full of mystery that will keep you guessing, but with plenty of romance sprinkled in, this book is a must-read!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Read!! I am loving this book. I bought it very recently and I am finding my day being caught up with wondering what is going to happen next in the book. Jennies is a very talented writer and very skilled at captivating the reader. It's like a movie playing in my mind, and I have to remind myself when I'm not reading the book that it's a book, and not a movie I've watched. **smiles** God Bless your endeavours. When's the next one!!!???
