The glump lives all alone in his cave, deep in the wood, wishing he could come out and dance with the peebles. Meanwhile, a peeble wishes she could be quiet and thoughtful -- like a glump. "Try not to be nervous," the peeble says to the glump. "You can't be frightened of things you've not tried." When they become friends it turns out the two creatures have a lot to teach each other! Rated 5 out of 5 by from You can do anything... with a little help of a friend. I love to go to the book store and just roam through the picture books without any clue what I am looking for. And everytime I find one that finds its way right into my heart and right into my basket. The Glump and the Peeble is one of these books. The unique illustrations caught my attention first - made of colourful dreams - and that is what the book is about - dreams to be different - dreams to overcome what is thought of how one should be. And it is about friends helping each others to make those dreams come true. If you want your child to be a dreamer who makes these dreams come true, and a friend who isn't afraid to reach out his/her hand to the different - then this book is for you!
