Rated 4 out of 5 by from Order of the Phoenix I really enjoyed this book. Yes, it was long and sometimes it felt like nothing was really happening (until everything happened) but I quite enjoyed following everyone's paths.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay. . . This was my least favorite book in the series. It was slow moving, although suspenseful. I like the background information about all the characters, especially Snape, Ginny and Neville. To be honest, if I knew the book was this boring, I just would read the last 3 chapters as that's where the most information was. I only recommend it because it is mart of the series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always Absolutely love the series, however, this is my least favourite book because it is rather slow moving. With that being said I love that we get to see Severus more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix This is the longest book in the series but it is a cracking read, with so much going on and the pace once again picking up from the first page. This book really explores Harry's potential and his past, which opens up more surprises than you would think. The battle scenes are very complex and you may find yourself having to re-read them in order to get your head 'round what is happening, but as always, JK Rowling makes your commitment more than worthwhile. This might be a harder read for younger children than previous books but it is no less enjoyable and continues to build the suspense of the story. There are some wonderful touches, Sirius Black's family home, where Harry, Hermione and Ron hide out when being pursued by the Ministry of Magic being one and we once again see much loved characters such as Remus Lupin. This book is very dark in places and we see that our hero isn't infallible, giving him yet another dimension and allowing us to identify with his struggles. There is humour also so it's certainly not all doom and gloom. An excellent book and wonderfully engrossing read. Creating an entire society with laws, governments, thousands of citizens, as well as dramatic events and problems, while managing to keep all the details straight cannot be easy. Also in this book you can truly see how the characters are growing and changing with the times. Harry's rage, while at first annoying and unwelcome, later shows the response of any humane person. He is worried about the safety of his friends, he is cut off from any useful information, he is put under enormous pressure in preparation for O.W.L.s, he is being called a liar, many beliefs and ideals he has clung to for support have recently been crushed, and much more. Perhaps it is just me but under those circumstances I'd be upset and full of rage too.Overall, obviously 5/5 for the construction of the story, the character development, and just my love for the series overall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Book 5 In my opinion this book marked a major turning point in the series. When I re-read it now it feels less like it's only for children and I feel that we can all learn a lot from this book in particular.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing!!! Jk Rowling once again delivers pure brilliance in her writing. Harry lost his godfather the only parent he had left, and during this book he experiences the exact emotions most humans go through when having lost a loved one. Not to mention Umbridge, ughhh. This was such an amazing book, a great addition to the series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favourite one! This is definitely my favourite book from the series. The characters grow so much in it, not to mention one of the greatest characters gets introduced (along with the one everyone hates, which just makes the plot even greater). I can't describe enough how much I love it !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great audio book One of the most famous book series in audio book. This is a perfect gift for big and small. A great alternativ to the book, if you are travelling a lot or even to listen to while commuting to work or school. The kids attention will be given for a while.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another great audio book A great story to listen to with the rest of the family. Of course you can read it loud but the audio book version is great when you are traveling long distances or even commuting to school. For younger and older.

Date published: 2017-06-30
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Book I still remember the day that I started reading this book. It blew me away. This book is much more mature, and the characters are pushed into the realizations of just how much danger they are all in. These books are great for all ages because there is always a character that you can identify with. #plumreview
Date published: 2017-06-29
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Getting more intense.... The story gets more dangerous, and richer even if you hate the abuse that is inflicted on Harry during his newest year at Hogwarts by Umbridge. You really wish more people were looking out for Harry, but ultimately it all comes to a rewarding end. Harry, Hermoine and Ron really face the realities of growing older. And all the pains that come with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Book 5 in an amazing series Such a good book, not as good of a movie. This book held so many clues and foreshadowing that it couldn't be compressed into a movie. J.K Rowling is a genius for creating such an amazing world!
Date published: 2017-06-22
Rated 5 out of 5 by from almost perfect I did enjoy this book a lot especially the end but it is a bit slow moving.
Date published: 2017-06-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Probably my favourite book! I have a love hate with this one. It is by far the best in the series but I can't stand Umbridge so much that it also makes me hate it but in a good way. If that makes any sense. It really has a lot of good character development in this and really immerses you in the story.
Date published: 2017-06-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Overall my favourite Harry Potter book!
Date published: 2017-06-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The battle begins Of course now that a certain villain is back on the scene - this is the book where the battle starts. I feel bad that Harry can't catch a break in this book but it is amazing how Rowling matures the books with the characters as they grow up and it is very clear in this book.
Date published: 2017-06-11
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! Should be required reading for anyone above the age of 10 years old. Amazing story
Date published: 2017-06-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must read. Would definitely recommend this, and all the other books in the H.P. series - the stories and relationships are getting more complex, and the characters and plots are ever evolving. Must read!
Date published: 2017-06-07
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great book Another awesome read in a great series.
Date published: 2017-06-05
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long but great This definitely feels like a bridge novel because you learn a lot but there's nothing huge happening like a wizard tournament or an escaped criminal or a giant snake, but the looming threat of Voldemort is very present. I loved all the details we got about the prophecy, something that the movie lacked. I understand why the adaptation was the way that it was (it's a very long book), but personally I think it's the weakest of the 8 movies, while the book is very good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This book is the reason people say "the book is better than the movie"! I read this book shortly before the movie came out, and fell in love with it all (especially S.P.E.W.)! I believe I heard somewhere that this is the biggest book, but Order of the Phoenix is also the shortest movie ... the movie did not do the story justice. A must read!
Date published: 2017-05-29
Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT Love this book! It's all turning darker, but I love how there's still a lot of humour in this book and more to do with the bigger picture. I love how crazy Lavender really is.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LOVE - too much detail I LOVE the Harry Potter series! I don't know which book I would say is my favourite, they all have their pros and cons. This book really develops the world in a lot of detail, since I prefer plot and story I didn't like this one as much as some of the others. I skimmed a lot of the detail of the ministry of magic. I was also annoyed at Harry's behaviour and at the behaviour of the adults, but I understand how they are written realistically.
Date published: 2017-05-09
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good As always, a great Potter story. Unfortunately, it happens to be my least favorite in the series, but still wonderful

Date published: 2017-04-23
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not J.K. Rowling's Best Work While the first four novels of this series are truly mesmerizing, I feel that Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix misses the mark. It's still a good story and worth a read, but it does not quite meet the expectations that devout fans likely have of this series. I would still recommend this novel, but I was not terribly impressed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Meh This one bored me. Too many new characters brought in to be properly built three dimension-ally.
Date published: 2017-04-07
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favourite Harry Potter Book Ever since I read it when it first came out, Order of the Phoenix has been my favourite of the Harry Potter series. It has such intense moments and a lot of the characters develop in major ways. UGH I just love it.
Date published: 2017-04-05
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favourite of the Series It is long and may seem like it goes on forever but the amount of detail in this book is amazing. One of the most devastating books too. This book will make you feel a wide range of emotions
Date published: 2017-04-04
Rated 3 out of 5 by from My least favourite of the series This book was just very slow and it seemed to drag on and on. It took me a long time to get through it, and I read many books in between. I would say it doesn't even come close to being as good as all the others. Since it is still part of the series, it would still be better to read it than skip it, although I do know people that have skipped it and went straight from the Goblet of Fire to the Half-Blood Prince.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love this series! i loved this book. the entire series actually. This book was a great turning point in the series because the series was mainly aimed at children and than it took a step in adulthood and became much darker. it was quite enjoyable, a bit longer than expected but filled with a lot of needed information
Date published: 2017-03-16
Rated 3 out of 5 by from amazing I enjoyed this book very much and now I know why my 10 year old Son wouldn't put the book down
Date published: 2017-03-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best in the Series This is my favourite book in the Harry Potter series. It's where you see the series take a darker, more serious turn. It's less about the schooling and more about fighting the dark forces. It's truly a masterpiece that I could read over and over.
Date published: 2017-03-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliantly written book that deserves to be beloved by all This book, while long is incredibly absorbing. It never lags for a second has interesting characters and perhaps has one of the most perfectly written but not less interesting villains: Dolores Umbridge. A great read!
Date published: 2017-03-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved It Another excellent instalment in the series! I'm glad it was longer than the others since they always seem to end too fast.
Date published: 2017-03-12
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Long, But Still Amazing Even though I loved this book, it probably is my least favourite one in the series. It is a long read, and at times becomes almost tiring to read, especially since the majority of the excitement comes at the end of the novel. Quite a few of the events could be eliminated without impacting the story, and for me it was a bit of a disappointment. Nevertheless though, it still is a great book to read if you have some time on your hands.

Date published: 2017-02-24
Rated 3 out of 5 by from This book was too long. It was 800 pages long and I am pretty sure it could have done with about 400 of those. I had to force myself to read this book. It was painful. This book begins be describing what and who The Order of the Phoenix is. They are basically a society that thrives to protect the wizard world from Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters. Also, it is up to them to protect Harry. There is a prophecy (or weapon) that Harry is seeing through Voldemort's eyes. When in Hogwarts he witnesses an attack on a dear friend and a member of The Order. He realized his connection with Voldemort is growing. There is a weapon that is hidden that Voldemort wants but needs Harry to get it for him. There is a new teacher/Headmistress at the school that everyone hates (including the teachers) and everyone tries to get rid of her. So many other pointless things happened in this book not worth even mentioning. I wouldn't recommend this book. I would advise to watch the movie instead since the last movie I watched summed up the previous book perfectly, without all the hogwash in between.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LONG BUT AMAZING this book starts really slow, but once it does its so good
Date published: 2017-02-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A darker tone for the HP series This book takes on such a darker direction from the first four and I know a lot of people love it, and a lot of people aren't a fan of it. I've heard quite a few saying that it is their least favorite in the series and I can happily say, that's not true for me! I loved this book, although I hated Umbridge, she's basically the worst. I enjoyed every minute of this book and felt the darker atmosphere and tone really suited what the characters are going through at the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better than I remembered it Though I thoroughly enjoyed every book in the series, Order of the Phoenix was probably the one which did not leave as much of an imprint on me in my younger days, for a number of reasons. The story did not capture my as much and the length was surely daunting. However, having recently re-read it, I have to change my opinion a great deal. It may not be my favourite, but it is close. The mood throughout the novel is wonderful and really captures the spirit of what the characters are enduring, particularly Harry. A tremendous read, despite a few chapters in the middle which were slightly less interesting to me. One of the best endings in the series as well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from SO LONG Unfortunately, this was the last Harry Potter book I read, for the simple reason that it was SOOO long! I read half the book, and he wasn't even at Hogwarts yet, so I got bored and never finished it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I feel like some of it is just filler but that's understandable, as J.K Rowling was probably starting to tie everything together. Nevertheless, I love it even though it was a bit long.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The series peaked at book 4 In my opinion, this is the beginning of the end. JK Rowling's attempt to "grow up" Harry just turns him into an overly emotional teenager who comes off as whiny and entitled. The first third of the book is extremely cringy. Later on the book is mediocre at best. If it wasn't a HP book, would not have finished it.
