I'm sitting in the time-out chair because my mother put me there. She said, "You try my patience, child! I do not like it when you're wild."
Sarah Weeks says she would be an otter if she were wild. She has written many books for children, including Two Eggs, Please; Mrs. McNosh Hangs Up Her Wash; Follow the Moon;and Angel Face, which Kirkuspraised as having language as "beautiful as the artwork swirling around it." She lives in New York City with her two sons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Joy for Kids and Adults to Read Together I picked this book for my granddaughter, who is her mother's "wild child" and couldn't stop laughing when I read through it the first time. I definitely see my granddaughter in the story's main character. A fun, Dr. Seuss like rhyming scheme makes this a joyful read for parent and child or grandparent and grandchild.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great toddler book! My son absolutely loves this book, and the illustrations are great. If I even go near his book shelf, he gets excited and points to this book. I definitely recommend this for babies and toddlers.

"Sarah Weeks's rambunctious angel in If I Were a Lion will have readers roaring with laughter. Parents should love reading it too, as it's bound to evoke memories of their own childhood antics.
