Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Green For A Novel About Dragons The 2nd novel in the Dragonfire series was all about Donovan’s dragonfire (what going into heat is for a dog) with his mate Alexandra Madison. Alex is a scientist who is being hunted by the Slayers because of her invention “The Green Machine”. This invention will change the world, at least that’s the way the characters made it sound. I thought it was going to be some kind of time machine or something of that nature, but sadly I was mistaken. It was a car that runs on water. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about saving the planet (I shop with reusable shopping bags) but wasn’t too keen on the fact that this was where the story went. It was less about the hero and heroine getting together and more about rebuilding a super that the Slayers destroyed. Dovovan’s back story was lacking. It never made much sense in connection with everything else. This book was disappointing. The first book was much better and I’m really hoping that the next one will make up for the mess that this one made.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be Better I enjoyed the novel but often I found my mind wondering about other things then actually keeping me interested. At times it was hard to focus because it was dull but overall it was okay but nothing special. I find that there’s not enough passion or possessiveness in the novel that I usually enjoy, like from G.A. Aiken or J.R. Ward or even Kresley Cole. However, the plot was really good and I am still curious to see what the third novel will bring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this series!! Donovan is a Pyr dragon shifter and is a man who loves women, his motorcycle, and being a team player, but when he is assigned to protect Alexandra and his firestorm ignites, he realizes his leader of the Pyr has set him up so he can breed and provide more Pyr's for the greater good, when he would rather have nothing to do with the firestorm, mostly because of his past. Alexandra is on the verge of playing a big part of saving the earth, but when slayer dragons come and destroy her work and torture her partner, she has to trust a dragon, Donovan, to protect her and help her continue her work. This book pulls you into the world of dragon shifters and you won't want to come up for air.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Loved It !! I Loved It. Big sexy men with attitude, large muscles, and a dominate personality mixed with a little….. Ahem….. exchange that for a LARGE Dragon shape shifter and you get a recipe for a smoking hot novel. Like the last novel its got it all, sexy men, beautiful, smart women and dangerous foes. The story line is great, this book will keep you one the edge of your seat its so action pact. I am defiantly looking forward to the next novel in the series.
