Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Great Adventure Dirk Pitt's second adventure takes him to the island of Thasos in the Aegean Sea on a request to look into a mysterious problem on a NUMA vessel. But his trip is not to be an easy one, as he battles a World War I biplane and is drawn into an criminal masterminds international high seas game of hide and seek. Along the way he meets a beautiful woman, a man he learns to hate very quickly, a dog who doesn't like him and a very elusive prehistoric fish. All parts intertwining and rising to a climactic ending that is surprising and satisfying. Clive Cussler is an entertaining and engaging writer who will draw you into the mysterious world of a mysterious character who you will fall in love with.
