Rated 1 out of 5 by from terrible. This book was suggested to me by my cousin. I eagerly went to buy it and couldn't wait to read it, but shortly after, I couldn't wait to close it. It was pretty dry and a lot of it was common sense. His metaphors were terrible and I felt like I was reading a book aimed at 16 year girls who have never dated. He refers to women as "venusians" and men as "martians" several time. It was very cheesy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Read it & keep it This is a good book to help understand the opposite sex. It's practical and I can definitely relate to my life. It is a good guide to help me solve some puzzles I have and not get too upset sometimes after understanding how men's brain work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great This book is really wonderful and does aid in understanding the opposite sex. I think it's important to keep in mind while reading this that every situation is different but this book certainly does aid in a general understanding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very usefl I found this book very helpful in understanding how men think and operate. A must read for anyone who wants to have a successful relationship. I took pictures of all of the good quotes in the book, so I can be reminded of how to behave around my man in the future, if he goes into his 'cave', and so much more! This book has a very practical use, even today. Highly recommended.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dated and stereotypical I'm going to be honest, I didn't finish it. It is obvious that this book is old, it is dated and stereotypical. The branding of females as illogical and males as out of touch with their emotions is not only passe, but very annoying. Modern women who have long since left the confines of the home and kitchen are much better off reading something like "He's just not that into you" by Greg Behrendt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic and Informative! We have all heard that "Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus", but how many of us actually understand what that means? I thought I did until I read this book. I know now that I didn't understand at all, but reading this book as taught me so much that I'm grateful for. It is helping my Husband and I save our marriage at a very difficult time and I will never regret reading it! It is not enough to say that Men and Women are different but John Gray found the perfect way to underline those differences and make it all easier to understand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! If you are somebody who wants to know more about the opposite sex this book is for you. You will also find you will learn some interesting things about your own gender you didn't know before. It is a light read and has a but of humor in it, definitely not a dry book. I couldn't put it down.

Editorial Reviews

"Gray offers a Berlitz of the heart, a translation of that foreign language your spouse is speaking. And hearing."
