Nourishing Traditions will be a fantastic go-to resource in our family for years to come! (And I think it is the first cookbook that I have ever read cover to cover.) It teaches of traditional cooking methods that seem to have been lost in our modern world and will ultimately improve your overall wellbeing. Highly recommended!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hated it! I didnt make it through the first chapter of this book but I guess I have a reason to be offended. I am a vegetarian and this book is blasting vegetarians saying that without meat we will go crazy and pretty much die. It was absolute crap! Vegetarians are just as healthy or healthier than meat eaters (depending on their diets). I was completely surprised to read these lies about non meat eaters in this book. I will be returning this to chapters.

The intro to the book is full of a wealth of information with simple ways to improve your diet to become healthier. The recipes are all very easy to follow and so far have been quite tasty.

Sally Fallon does a superb job of setting up the book with the nutritional info in the front, great recipes and tips plus nuggets of information dispersed throughout the entire book. An absolute must for anyone whose goal is long term health. Brings to life the meaning of Hippocrates quote "Let food be your medicine".

Nourishing Traditions has helped me evaluate what changes my diet needs and know how to follow them through. The recipes range from basic, simple dishes to those which reveal Fallon's background in gourmet cooking. I recommend this book often.
