Katarina Bishop and W.W. Hale the fifth were born to lead completely different lives: Kat comes from a long, proud line of loveable criminal masterminds, while Hale is the scion of one of the most seemingly perfect dynasties in the world. If their families have one thing in common, it's that they both know how to stay under the radar while getting-or stealing-whatever they want. No matter the risk, the Bishops can always be counted on, but in Hale's family, all bets are off when money is on the line. When Hale unexpectedly inherits his grandmother's billion dollar corporation, he quickly learns that there's no place for Kat and their old heists in his new role. But Kat won't let him go that easily, especially after she gets tipped off that his grandmother's will might have been altered in an elaborate con to steal the company's fortune. So instead of being the heir-this time, Hale might be the mark. Forced to keep a level head as she and her crew fight for one of their own, Kat comes up with an ambitious and far-reaching plan that only the Bishop family would dare attempt. To pull it off, Kat is prepared to do the impossible, but first, she has to decide if she's willing to save her boyfriend's company if it means losing the boy.Praise for PERFECT SCOUNDRELS:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! I really enjoyed this book. Another great novel from Ally Carter and a great installmetn to the Heist Society series.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointing There are too many problems in this book to count. Although this book had a soild mistake proof plot, the story lacked emotion, and the characters, especially Hale lacked a great amount of charsma and comedy in his personality and dialouge even though Ally Carter ( author) tried. Since Hale didn't have what made him likeable and interesting in the past book Uncommon Criminals, I could care less about Hale in this book. Kat thoughts in this novel seemed to be like nags espescially when they were about Hale, so much so that I even thought as I read the book for her to just get over it! There were twists in the book that were okay, but since the characters weren't interesting enough to grip you into the story and there was no suspense, especially when it was needed, the twists seemed like a mouthful of bland tof. I was surley sad when I finished reading this book and like all books Ally Carter write, the start out good and then get worser and worser and she continues to make then longer series.

Editorial Reviews

The stakes are not only higher but personal in this third Heist Society novel. Teen criminal mastermind Katarina Bishop gathers her fellow con artists to help one of their own, W. W. Hale the Fifth, when Hale's wealthy tycoon grandmother dies suddenly-and mysteriously-leaving control of her billion-dollar corporation to underage Hale and the family's greedy trustee lawyer. This time Kat's not after cursed jewels or stolen paintings but the original will-even if it means losing Hale in the process. While jet-setting around the globe, scheming elaborate break-ins, and even pulling off a "Basil E. Frankweiler" maneuver in a high-security London museum, Kat must keep her feelings for Hale in check. Can she trust her usually steadfast partner? Further complicating this cinematic caper is the meeting of Kat's under-the-radar relatives and Hale's socialite family. With razor-sharp dialogue, twists and tight squeezes galore, and one quick-thinking heroine, Carter doesn't miss a step as she continues to entertain her numerous fans.- Angela Leeper-Booklist Online
