Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unique and delicious vegetarian recipes! This is my go-to book for vegetarian recipes. I love how the book is separated by the different types of vegetables. I've cooked a few recipes from it and I was really impressed with how they turned out. My favourites have been the black pepper tofu, mushroom lasagna and the yogurt flatbreads with mushroom ragu. The recipes often have many ingredients but usually the techniques to cook them are very straight forward and easy to make. I highly recommend this book!

I didn't even buy this book to cook what's in it - I bought it because the photography is absolutely breathtaking and it's a gorgeous coffee table book. One of these days I will cook something out of the book, I will. I am an accomplished cook and the recipes don't scare me: some of them *do* require I hunt down some ingredients, but if the food looks anything like the pictures I KNOW it will be worth it. Highly recommend, even for a novice cooker, but especially for an accomplished foodie.

I have owned this cookbook for a year now and haven't found a recipe I don't like. Some ingredients can be a bit hard to find but their worth it. And then some recipes call for such normal ingredients, you'll be surprised how delicious they can be. All in all, you can't go wrong with this cookbook, whether you're a vegetarian or not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilhante Having read Yotam Ottolenghi's columns in The Guardian's website and being mentioned by David Lebovitz on his website, I decided to purchase this book as I am constantly looking for new vegetarian cookbooks to vary my repertoire in cooking vegetables. Being Malaysian, I was actually hoping to learn how to cook yummy veggie dishes in Middle Eastern style. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find common South East Asian dishes like "Mee Goreng" and "Gado Gado" in this book. Ottolenghi also like to use other Asian ingredients like Soba noodles, sambal oelek, tofu and edamame beans. His recipes are clearly written and uses ingredients that result in delightful vegetarian dishes (which chapters include pulses, cereals, pasta, polenta, couscous and a final chapter on fruit with cheese) that are packed with flavours (often using a variety of fresh herbs and spices). I'd highly recommend this book for those who are looking for a fresh approach to cooking vegetarian dishes.
