Rated 4 out of 5 by from Witches and Vampires Oh MY. Another hit from Melissa De La Cruz. She really has a way with words that capture your interest. There is enough plot intrigue, romance and a variety of characters to keep it interesting. A good series.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great teen book different from other vampire books: less about romance and more about solving a mystery, also a darker tone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 3rd book keeps evolving & getting darker and better! Rating: ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ (4.5/5 stars) With her mom in a coma basically since she was born and her newly-found grandfather running off to Rio for a Blue Bloods emergency, Schuyler is left to live with the Force family. Being under the same roof as Mimi, her nemesis and Jack, her forbidden crush is torture in more ways than one. When word gets out among the Blue Bloods that Schuyler’s grandfather is in need of assistance in Rio, many of them make their way there to protect the sacred land and ensure the evil that’s been trapped there doesn’t escape. Wow, is this book ever the game-changing installment of the series so far! So much happens in the shortest full-length book of the 7-book series. Secret dalliances, murder and jet-setting adventures in Brazil, Revelations has certainly developed into more than just a fluff “New York socialites”-type story. Without giving away too much, I absolutely enjoyed the darker turn this book takes. The various love triangles, the forbidden nature of some relationships, and the turn of events that make the title of the book very apropos. There are many revelations about various plot lines and characters that change the course of where the rest of the series will go. This series just keeps getting better, more addictive and ever-evolving as it goes along! This, and other reviews can be found on JustALilLost.com

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A long road to the revelations!!! I wasn't at the edge of my seat until the last couple chapters. Then after closing the book, I hunger for more. But I didn't feel that way initially as I was reading the book. Throughout the beginning, it dealt with forbidden love and deceit and secrets which were okay. A few chapters had great twists the way it was written, other chapters I found a bit predictable. Still, it's a wonderful series, and despite my slight disappointment, I'm looking forward to the next mainly because of those last few chapters. The author catches you that way. Very clever of her.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great read The third installment of The Blue Bloods left me wanting to read the fourth novel. I liked how it's about vampires but it's not your typical run of the mill vampires. She has come up with a new way to shed light on a very popular topic. I hope that the fourth book will answers a lot of questions that have been lingering in the series so far. I like how she's goes into detail about the daily habits of "blue blood" vampires without giving too much away. An excellent read for anyone who is interested in the genre of vampires or is just testing it out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Bad. After reading the secound installment in the Blue Bloods series, I was really anxious to read and find out what happens in this book, I was a little dissapointed, It was pretty much all romance until the last 15 pages. I would have like to seen more Silver Bloods vs. The Blue Bloods, there was some action near the end, but not enough to have kept this book exciting. Though, alot of questions were answered, making the book even better. Overall, I still liked this series, this book ended with a cliffhanger with more questions that you are just dieing to know the answers to!! I am anxiously waiting for the fourth installment, The Van Alen Legacy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hungry for the next installment... This third novel of the Blue Bloods series by Melissa De La Cruz has left me anxious for the fourth installment. Unlike many of the vampire-based books that have come out since Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Saga, this book is its own type of vampire, complete with the transformation process all the way to eating habits. This next book in the series answers many questions as well as leaves me asking so many more. Revelations is a book that you can easily read in one sitting, losing all track of time and becoming enraptured in the world of these New York-born vampires. I'd highly reccomend this entire series to anyone, especially those who like not-so-gory vampire reads.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Expected more... Considering this is the third book in the series, I expected a lot more from the story. Yeah, you do find out some new things about the characters and secrets about the 'blue bloods' you didn't know before, but overall, the story wasn't as good as it should have been. Although, because of the way it ends, I expect the next book to be good.
