When a local do-gooder is killed, small town librarian Kathleen Paulson and her magical cats have to dig up trouble in the second mystery in the New York Times bestselling series.

Kathleen never wanted to be the crazy cat lady. But when Owen and Hercules followed her home from mysterious Wisteria Manor, she realized her mind wasn’t playing tricks on her—her cats have magical abilities.

When the body of elderly Agatha Shepherd is found near Kath's favorite local café, she knows Owen's talent for turning invisible and Hercules's ability to walk through walls will give the felines access to clues Kath couldn't get without arousing suspicion. Someone is hiding some dark secrets—and it will take a bit of furtive investigating to catch the cold-hearted killer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mystery cats Excellent storytelling, characters becoming well rounded out. Ca n definitely keep you guessing who dun it, and who doesn't love magical cats. Looking forward to reading book three of the series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely loved this! Okay, yes, this IS a murder mystery, but Ms. Kelly always manages to inject some very comedic sequences into her stories. She really 'hooks' you by doing this in the most unexpected places. I gave this 2nd in the Magical Cat series a 5+++ because of the 'kick-boxing grandmother' character. This is a prize-winner of a scene & [if in a film would only] should be played by Jane Fonda! I don't see an audio book available, so I will submitting her 2 titles to the CNIB to see if they will add them to their books for the blind. I tried to read it aloud to my husband, but I just can't keep from laughing - this book & the first one are really, really good. Unfortunately, while this one includes a "taste" of book 3, there doesn't seem to be a publication date available as yet. If you like murders, small towns, & are [perhaps, in danger of being..] a crazy cat will definitely have fun with this story.
