about

A small Kansas town has turned into a killing ground.
Is it a serial killer, a man with the need to destroy?
Or is it a darker force, a curse upon the land?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A nursery crime! I could not put this book down! I love how this town and their characters are described in this book. They came alive in my mind like it was a movie. I get now that Pendergast, as eloquent, elegant, excentric and mysterious as he is, is often just as misunderstood and underestimated and as much of a "misfit" as Corrie is. And that this is probably why he takes a linking to her. I hope there will be more of Corrie to come after White Fire, which I also loved. Pendergast needs someone special in his life that he cares about, in a different way that he cares about Candice., and that will be more of a partner in future crimes to solve.
