Erica conceives a memoir about the beautiful but remote Alex, one that will answer questions about their lost friendship. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great debut for mystery series Set in an isolated town on the Swedish coast, a body is found in a covered in ice in a bath tub. Soon an ex-friend and a school friend unite to find that they have more in common than just their dead classmate - secrets that will split open the town and turn neighbors into suspects. A wonderful read that reminds me of Louise Penny and Agatha Christie, I could not put it down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Entertaining and attention grabbing series! I actually began to read this series out of order. I picked up The Drowning one day as it caught my attention, not realizing it was part of a series. I LOVED The Drowning and couldn't put it down - as in I read it in 2 days. So after that I had to go and get the rest of the series and started from the beginning. I love these stories and the characters. I love the way Lackberg writes (or at least how it is translated as I am reading them in English) and I do love the story lines. These are great reads and she manages to keep my attention the entire novel. I highly recommend these if you are looking for a "lighter" sort of read and for something entertaining. I have now read The Ice Princess, The Preacher, The Stonecutter and obviously The Drowning. I am currently on The Stranger (formally The Gallows Bird) and will be sad when I finish the series.
