Spanning 15 years of travel, beginning when she is a sophomore in college, Wanderlust documents Elisabeth Eaves''s insatiable hunger for the rush of the unfamiliar and the experience of encountering new people and cultures. Young and independent, she crisscrosses five continents and chases the exotic, both in culture and in romance. In the jungles of Papua New Guinea, she loses herself-literally-to an Australian tour guide; in Cairo, she reconnects with her high school sweetheart, only to discover the beginning of a pattern that will characterize her life overthe long-term: while long-distance relationships work well for her, traditional relationships do not. Wanderlust, however, is more than a chronological conquest of men and countries: at its core, it''s a journey of self-discovery. In the course of her travels, Eaves finds herself and the sense of home she''s been lacking since childhood-and she sheds light on a growing culture of young women who have the freedom and inclination to define their own, increasingly global, lifestyles, unfettered by traditional roles and conventions of past generations of women.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Interesting, not Inspirational. While I found the stories to be interesting and her experiences to be wild, the protagonist herself does some irresponsible and inconsiderate things, particularly in her relationships, that really put me off.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Boring I honestly don't know how some people get to become authors the only parts that were interesting were her insight on countries and their cultures besides that she just seemed impulsive, lost, and selfish in relationships. It had no impact on me what so ever....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it! I enjoyed this book. Very honest, with her experiences.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tiresome journey I bought this book to read while on vacation. It's the story about a 20-something year old who has wanderlust. I thought I might be able to related to the main character since I am in my late 20's, but I just found her annoying. Instead of working on herself, she runs away to other countries and uses men to make herself feel better. This book doesn't really inspire or finish with a big revelation or anything of the sort. I expected more.
