Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wasn't bad... Wasn't bad. At least, the characters are not all the same like in some other book when we could think that one character could take the place of another just by changing names...But I'm beginning to be fed up with that life mate thing and men being animals...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Must Read Another great book in the series. Delaney, a dragon shifter, has exiled himself and his only mission is to destroy the Dragon's Blood Elixer to prevent the evil Magnus is trying to create. Delaney is unprepared for his firestorm with Ginger. She is determined to heal him but is unsure how or what exactly needs healing. Their firestorm burns and Delaney wants to sate the firestorm and do his duty of creating a Pyr son, but Ginger is not on board with that plan. She wants the child's father to be around and have a family unit, not be a single mother. With Delaney torn between his mission and the firestorm Ginger is unsure if she can reach him or even heal him.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good addition to this series I'll start off by saying this is the second book I've read in the last couple months where I found the continuing storyline more interesting than the main characters, in this case Delaney and Ginger. Delaney is on a suicide mission to destroy the Elixir that gives immortality to the Pyr's enemy. To do this, he has cut ties with the rest of the Pyr family. His plan goes south when he encounters a firestorm - his firestorm. After seeing Delaney in the bar, Ginger is intrigued, which leads to a night of passion and what Delaney hopes will satisfy the firestorm. But as we know, a firestorm will not be satisfied without love. Ginger is feisty and independent and when she learns of the Pyr and what Delaney is about to do, she puts her foot down. He isn't going anywhere without her, not when she can see a future for them together. What I found a bit tiring was the continued stubbornness of Delaney to continue the mission on his own without the help of his fellow Pyr, read it once okay, twice...but three, four etc... - okay I get it. What I really loved was way the Pyr all band together to assist Delaney and Ginger. The story and interaction between everyone is great. Loved that its Ginger and the girls that discover and come up with the way to destroy the Elixir through the riddles and the guys do the fighting. Deborah Cooke does such a great job writing everyone in...and its growing. The little bits of Erik's and Eileen's daughter who is the new Wyvern - great! Good addition to this series. Niall's story is next in this series and while I look forward to it, I must say and I'm sure I'm not the only one - when is Rafferty's story coming out, I am waiting patiently for it!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful addition to the Dragonfire series I had the good fortune to be gifted with an ARC of Winter Kiss. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to more in this series. What do you get when you pit a self-sacrificing dragon with tunnel vision and a death wish up against a woman who will challenge everything that he believes in...a wonderfully written novel, Winter Kiss by Deborah Cooke. Winter Kiss, takes us back to the world of the Pyr in this next instalment in Ms. Cooke's Dragonfire series. Delaney Shea, meets his match in the fiery dynamic Ginger Sinclair, but the journey to a shared future is rife with evil possibilities controlled by the Slayers. I enjoyed this novel, the give and take between the main characters added depth to the knowledge that the reader has gained from reading the Dragonfire series . Ms. Cooke continues to uncover more information about the Pyr and the Slayer dragons. The battle between good and evil is never just the flip side of a coin, there are variations to it that rise up to surprise even the most blasé of readers.
