Lila Bard, once a commonplace-but never common-thief, has survived and flourished through a series of magical trials. But now she must learn to control the magic, before it bleeds her dry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from really good Reviewing this book, I’d like to review the whole series, and say it was highly entertaining, cute and heartwarming, stressful and action packed. Magical, it is described vividly, the imagery appearing perfectly and effortlessly in my mind’s eye. This third book was particularly full of action yet a bit long at times. My favourite was the first book. The biggest flaw Schwab demonstrates is a repetition of certain peculiar words (tendrils), character ticks (running hand through hair), replies (snort), and intimate moment movements (foreheads together). It was highly annoying and somewhat disappointing from a book with such high acclaim. Her strength, making me feel nervous as hell for the safety of my beloved characters. I love them all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Sequel! This was a great continuation to the series! While I found it a bit lagging at times in the middle everything ramps up to a very engaging and exciting finale. Looking forward to the third installment!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AHH SO AMAZING I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW. Oh my goodness I adore these characters and that ending was everything I wanted. The final books in trilogies are usually my least favorite because they can't possibly live up to all of my expectations... but this was perfect. The plot hit the ground running and the first 10% was SO intense. So many feels. I love ALL of these characters so much and it was so much fun getting to know each of the characters more throughout this book. The best parts were probably just seeing Kell, Lila, Rhy, and Alucard interact more. I liked the little things like how Lila's the first person to treat Rhy like he doesn't need saving. Actually, seeing Rhy grow so much might have been my favorite part of the story. There's also a lot more backstory for Holland, which helped a ton! Basically, this was an absolutely brilliant conclusion. Victoria Schwab is an incredible author.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only Bad Part is That the Series is Over This book was a wild ride from start to finish. Normally I don't like when I book feels so much like a whirlwind but Schwab knows how to keep everything is balance. You NEED to read this book. The perfect ending to a truly engaging series!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Ending Wow, what a finale. I've got so many feels! Okay, where to start... the book opened with a bang, that's for sure. I almost couldn't handle the intensity of it. From there, ACOL moved on to new adventures, betrayals, and incredible sacrifices. This might be my favourite book of the series, given how many emotions it drew from me near the end and at the very end. More POVs were added to give more weight to the characters and their actions. I really enjoyed Maxim's POV (and actually, it was a moment between him and Rhy that caused the most intense heartache for me), though the backstories for Holland and Alucard were just as tragic as they were revealed. Honestly, I loved these books, and the ending made me sad to see them go, but I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. ACOL is a stellar finale to an amazing series with rich characters, a complex world, and heart-pounding action. It's beautifully written, and I absolutely recommend it to every reader who loves fantasy and character driven stories. You will not be disappointed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! Never a dull moment from the first chapter to the last! Everything was paced enough so that it wasn't constant action, but enough so that it lulls you in a rhythm. Love the characters and how they grew throughout the entire story and some characters have more to them that I had initially thought so that added to the enjoyment of the series! A great end to a wonderful series and I can say I recommend these books wholeheartedly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HOLY This CANNOT BE THE END I'm calling it now. Although it was a very final-sounding ending, I don't believe that this is the end of this series. There HAS to be more. There are some potential ideas thrown throughout this book (and when I reread the series, thrown around the second book as well) that just don't tie up in the end. THERE IS MORE TO THIS SERIES AND I'M CALLING IT NOW. greate story though 10/10

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect wrapup It was an amazing conclusion and Ill probably read this trilogy again sometime. The characters grew so much in these books and I still love the world of the books. The second one is still my favourite but this one definitely stuck with me

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A satisfying conclusion There were certain parts of the book where the pacing was a bit too slow for my taste, but overall I enjoyed the book. Although not on par as the previous two books (in my honest opinion) it still ended the trilogy pretty well.
