Rated 5 out of 5 by from Riveting! Picked up this title following a PBS presentation featuring DCI Banks. Frankly, the book is even better than the British series! Should definitely be on your "must-read" list... Enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I am hooked. This is the first book I have read of this author. I've already put in an order for a number of his other titles. Very good plot, high quality writing, and easy to read. I would not hesitate to recommend this book to my friends.

Editorial Reviews

"P.D. James, Reginald Hill and Ruth Rendell may be writing as fast as they can. But what are devotees of the English country mystery supposed to be reading between times? A superior new series by Peter Robinson should do nicely."
The New York Times Book Review
