This play was written in 1879. This dramatic story based on the real accident. Nora was the prototype of the Norwegian-Danish writer - Laura Kieler. Under the influence of the play "Brand" 19-year-old girl wrote a book "Daughters of Brand", which was published in 1869. Ibsen met her and advised to do literature. The author and Laura became friends. After Laura father's death, she and her mother moved to Denmark, where in 1873 she married Victor Kieler who was an adjunct. He was a kind person, but sometimes he was violent, particularly painful, he endured financial problems. One day Victor became ill with tuberculosis. It had to be treated in the South. Victor didn’t want to ask his rich father for help. Then she secretly took a bank loan…
