The evil night things that prowl Cincinnati despise witch and bounty hunter Rachel Morgan. Her new reputation for the dark arts is turning human and undead heads alike with the intent to possess, bed, and kill her -- not necessarily in that order.

Now a mortal lover who abandoned Rachel has returned, haunted by his secret past. And there are those who covet what Nick possesses -- savage beasts willing to destroy the Hollows and everyone in it if necessary.

Forced to keep a low profile or eternally suffer the wrath of a vengeful demon, Rachel must nevertheless act quickly. For the pack is gathering for the first time in millennia to ravage and to rule. And suddenly more than Rachel's soul is at stake.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the best of the series but still a great book Not my favourite of the series so far but still a lot of fun. I was SO GLAD we got some more Jenks in this one. He's easily one of my favourites. We actually got a nice variety of characters in this one and the character development was great. We got to learn so much about everyone and that made me really happy. Plot-wise I found the middle dragged on a bit but the beginning and ending had lots of action to make up for it. This plot just seemed a bit tamed compared to the other books where Rachel travelled into the Ever After and called up demons. It was far from a bad book, it just didn't quite live up to the others. My expectations might have been too high going into this one but I'm still looking forward to the next in the series!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Book number 4, A Fistful of Charms By far, its the most action-packed one. The more this series progresses and I get to know more of the characters, the more I bond with the characters and feel for them. There were plot twists that you didn't see coming. Things involving certain characters, that will blow your mind. This series keeps getting better and better and I lose myself in the series

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Fistful Of Charms I bought first 4 books in the series on recommendation but couldn't bring myself to reading it. I didn't know what to expect from it, but I ended up loving the series. I highly recommend it to fantasy lovers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't judge a book by it's cover.. ..but lets face it the cover alone is enough to get you to buy it. This trip to the Hollows is another hit from start to finish and just before I went to bed one night after finishing chapter 6 I placed an order for the following book. Such a rich and wonderful creation that I hope never ends.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Another Great Story! I love these books and this one was just as fun as its predecessors. I like how the stakes (no pun indented) ramped up and the new characters that were introduced. Can't wait for the next book!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fistful of Fun ****Contains Spoilers**** A Fistful of Charms is the 4th book in the Hollows Series. This book picks up where the last book left off. Jenks still doesn’t live with Rachel and Ivy and the 2 of them try to get him back. Jenks son Jax left the last book with Nick, he calls his father asking to be rescued. It’s winter and cold and Jenks cannot travel by himself as a pixie or he would be forced into hibernation. Rachel uses demon magic again and makes Jenks into a “big person”. While looking for Jax they discover that Nick stole a valuable artefact and Nick’s life is in danger. Although Rachel is mad at Nick, she cannot let him die. While trying to save Nick, Rachel realizes she is in the middle of Werewolf politics. Throughout this book, Rachel struggles with being a “white witch” while using black magic for good, her relationship with Ivy and old feelings for Nick. I love this book. I love Rachel and Jenks together. I loved how Jenks copes with being a “big person” and those scenes had me laughing throughout this book. I missed having Kisten in this book. He played a very small part.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I actually cried What can I say...bit of a wimp. Just goes to show that Kim's writing can bring out that much emotion. I totally loved this one especially with Jenks being big...to cool. I am really curious what Nick is up to other than being just greedy, but I guess I will find out...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional! I'm running out of words to say how much I love Kim Harrison. It's hard to write a review different from what I have said about the first three books in this series. I want to say so much more about the book but I don't want to give anything up about the plot. It was crafty and clever and creepy and cunning. Rachel is everything that every woman should want to be and more. Harrison continues to prove her knowledge of the supernatural and the occult. She takes an old idea and twists and reforms it into something new and better. Some supernatural authors pick one aspect of the genre (vampires, weres, magic in general) and stick to it, but Harrison is able to work in all three effortlessly. She's created a whole world beyond our own and I wish I could move there. Kim; I love you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it! I'm getting more hooked on this series. Considering I really didn't like the first book I'm shocked how much I have loved every book after. A Fistful of Charms is so action packed I couldn't put it down. I am in love with Kisten... I wish we got to see more of him. There is such a cliff hanger at the end of this book that I cannot wait to get my hands on the next one!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from She did it again In Kim's fourth Hollow's book, Rachel is reunited with Nick, after learning that he has put his, and Jax's life at risk. Because of this, Jenks gets turned big so he can survive the weather farther north, and Rachel learns to Were. Unfortunatly, she's betrayed again and again by the scuzzy Nick. The more you read Harrison's Hollows series, the more you learn about how the main characters really are. Rachel is more powerful than she knows, but also way more vulnerable. ivy is battling herself in more ways than she lets on, and Jenks is coming to the end of a short life. Again, unfortunatly the fourth novel does not make it easy for the three partners. Once Jenks and Rachel find Jax, she refuses to leave without rescuing Nick from the Weres. Of course, Jenks is not happy about this, because Nick turned his son Jax into a thief. This is just the beginning of a long list of grief Nick puts Rachel, Jenks and Ivy through. By the end of A Fistful of Charms, we see Nick for the scum he really is. The novel is different than the first three. The characters all become closer in it, although sometimes it's a result of someone else being hurt emotionally. I think it's a turning point for the series, the characters become more real-like. Another amazing read!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely one of the best series' I've read! This series just keeps getting better and better! Strong characters, some new, some recurring. Awesome plot, excellent action scenes, I can't ask for more! I get more than I ask for already! Rachel learns a lot more about herself in this one, and a lot more about Ivy as well. New things that pop up that you wouldn't believe but that fit in the world that Harrison has created. You're hooked from the first paragraph right down to the last word of the final chapter. This series is really 'unputdownable!'

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kiss-Kiss Another fabulous book by Kim Harrison. I loved how there were jokes that you could only get from reading the previous books. For example the "kiss-kiss". She really ties the books together and I enjoy her writing very much. She's got such an imagination this series is a breath of fresh air. Loved it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A real page turner... I started this series on a whim during a dry spell from my other favouite authors; however, Kim Harrison quickly became top of my list of favourites. This book, true to the rest of the series, is a great combination of action, seduction, humour, and the supernatural. I couldn't put it down! Excellent job ... I can't wait for the next installment!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great book by Kim Harrison! Kim Harrison has done it again! I will admit there were parts of the book where I was like "mmm...I'm not sure" but the drive behind the characters pulled it off. I have to say Kim Harrison is one of my faves and I can't wait for the next one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Intriguing This is one of the best books in the Supernatural category. I recommend you read her other books first: Dead witch walking, The Good, the bad and the Undead, and Every which way but dead. They're all very good books. If you like Laurell K. Hamilton or Kelley Armstrong, you'll love this series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Next Great Book in the Rachel Morgan Series This book was awesome. It was a great continuation of the previous books and leaves you wanting to read more in the end. It continues on the story line of Rachel being a runner for her firm Vampric Charms, but an old BF comes back in need of help, but he is no longer the same guy Rachel knew but you know Rachel, she always sides with the underdog. I really reccommend this book, however, you should read the first 3 before you read this one becuase you would miss out on 3 great books and some information and character developments in this book. I can't wait for the next book in this series. I really reccommend Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan books.
