Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better as a Memoir than Expose I bought this the month it came out, and found it was very interesting as a memoir, but despite his own personal history worked less as an expose. I admittedly stopped reading at the Campaign chapter, but before then was fantastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Two-sides to every story Comey had a lot of contreversy while Director of the FBI especially amongst democrats, however this book was ironically very well recieved by said democrats. He gives his Version of Events and sheds a lot of light to things that the average citizen doesn't even know is happening

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Very well-written memoir by James Comey which goes in depth in his time as United States Attorney General to his shortened tenure as Director of the FBI. This book is great for anyone who has an interest in the topics of ethics, justice and American politics. Comey writes in a way that makes it easy for anyone to understand, regardless of your prior knowledge of American politics. #plumreview

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 10/10 I was worried with the anticipation of this book, however I was not disappointed. I really enjoyed the background years (pre-Trump) that he went into relating to the DOJ and early FBI years. I got far more then I expected with this book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Wow, this book gives the reader insight into the depth and breadth of the positions he held. No easy way out for Comey because of way things went down which was clearly spelled out in the book. I appreciated the early life stores and influential people along with his career path through and up to the time he was fired. It all came full circle in the last couple of chapters. I hope he writes another book!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Leadership Book This book was not what I was expecting it to be. I was prepared for a pure slam style book on the current American administration, but Mr. Comey has written a very well articulated leadership book that anyone is any leadership position should consider reading. Ethical leadership is the foundation to any good decision making. #IndigoEmployee

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's worth a read!! Having read What Happened, Fire and Fury and this book in quick succession, I found this one to be the most worthwhile. Comey is concise, articulate and thorough. Most reasonable, rational person can draw a conclusion about Trump and his administration, but Comey just introduced the background and his analysis of it as the former FBI director, with deep understanding of human behaviour, which was fascinating! I laughed out loud when Trump was referred to as a deeply insecure mob boss. What is also now clear is he deeply respects Obama's leadership and his prediction for America, which he defines as a "forest fire", and his hope that something good should come out of it. I sincerely hope so, as a citizen of the neighbour to the north.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Portrait of True Integrity While Comey's ego is evident throughout this read so is his humour, honesty, integrity and leadership in preserving the ideals and institutions he swore to protect. Those critical of his investigation of Clinton's emails will finally have all the facts from his perspective on what occurred in those days. It may not sit right in the eye's of her supporters but I think it portrays a larger picture of what was really at stake in American politics. Not a position or decision anyone would want to make. His thoughts on police leadership demand our attention north of the border.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Who is the target audience? If you kept up with the goings, you don't really learn anything new about the whole Comey, email, and loyalty stories. He builds a lot of narrative about what he's done before to show he's a guy who knows what he's doing. I'm not sure what the target audience is for this. This certainly will not win over naysayer who hate him and blame him for Hillary's lost. I mean would those people who hate him even read this? He gives his case that he was in a dilemma and it wasn't gonna go well either way. Narratively, you learn how he sees Bush, Obama, and Trump. So the least is you get how he felt about the presidents who he served under. It's a pretty easy weird but it does hard sell quite a bit that he's doing the good thing. I mean, he is the good guy in fact so it feels heavy handed that he has to keep defending his actions. If you kept up with the news from different perspectives and are informed, you probably can skip this. I kept up just by watching late night talk shows so take that how you like it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well written I am not 100% done this book, but I received it as a gift and it is very well written. Comey writes honestly and gives in depth details of leadership and what it means to be an honest leader. As a Canadian, it's interesting to read about US politics as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Thoughtful Read This book was not what I had thought it would be, which was pleasing to me. Comey really focuses on what makes a great leader and what it takes to be objective - and its indubious need in justice and law enforcement. Comey comes off as quite thoughtful with a healthy amount of self-critique in this memoir. The message is quite beautiful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Insightful! I believe this is a worthy read in these unique US political times.....I also believe this is an accurate and truthful betrayal of the facts!
Date published: 2018-04-28
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A realistic insight I liked how it was not only about Trump but overall about ethical leadership. Politics and politicians already have a bad rep and there is a huge lack of trust society vs. democracy so for him to touch on it, and so honestly was refreshing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very insightful An absolute must read for this year. It is very well written, grips you from the beginning and teaches you a lot of things about law, leadership and loyalty that you didn't know existed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome read A trustworthy perspective of political hair-splitting. Comey has too much class to outright mudsling, but he does portray an honest opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the read Great book and def worth the buy. I couldn't wait to put my hands on this book,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Read! I absolutely loved this book from start to end! Comey told his experience through a refreshing perspective which allowed the readers to understand the previous dealings in the White House without any background knowledge of American History/Law necessary. Also, there was a perfect balance of humour and seriousness in the book which made for an entertaining and educational read.
Date published: 2018-04-23
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not what I expected I thought this book would be another dubious tell-all. Instead, this is a well-written, thoughtful, in-depth look at the roles of different American security agencies, how they interact with each other and with the President. When Comey finally gets to Donald Trump and their relationship, this reader was horrified to learn just how far off the accepted Trump actually is.
Date published: 2018-04-20
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eye-opener Some have criticized Comey for coming out with this book and revealing what he has revealed. Regardless, it is an eye-opener that commands attention

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome read! I love how it shines the light in american leadership. A truly amazing read.
