Nobody in Bethlehem Springs knows the man behind the stories … except Daphne. When newspaperman Joshua Crawford comes to town searching for the man who sullied the good name of his grandfather, Daphne finds herself at a crossroads, reassessing the power of her words, re-thinking how best to honor her gifts, and reconsidering what she wants out of life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Secrets This is the third and final book in the Sisters of Bethlehem Springs series. It was like visiting old friends to read about the characters in the other books. I think I liked this book best of all three, although while I was reading the others, I enjoyed them, too. This one is about Daphne McKinley, a woman who writes dime novels under a male pseudonym. When a man comes to town to find the author responsible for sullying his grandfather's reputation, Daphne must re-think her motives for writing, and for keeping her identity a secret. It's further complicated when she begins to fall for the man. Hatcher never fails to entertain with her stories, bringing out features of real events, like the Spanish flu outbreak and the fear that people felt. This was a very enjoyable book.
