That hot guy tied to Lissianna Argeneau's bed? He's not dessert—he's the main course!

Lissianna has been spending her centuries pining for Mr. Right, not just a quick snack, and this sexy guy she finds in her bed looks like he might be a candidate. But there's another, more pressing issue: her tendency to faint at the sight of blood . . . an especially annoying quirk for a vampire. Of course it doesn't hurt that this man has a delicious-looking neck. What kind of cold-blooded vampire woman could resist a bite of that?

Dr. Gregory Hewitt recovers from the shock of waking up in a stranger's bedroom pretty quickly—once he sees a gorgeous woman about to treat him to a wild night of passion. But is it possible for the good doctor to find true love with a vampire vixen, or will he be just a good meal? That's a question Dr. Greg might be willing to sink his teeth into . . . if he can just get Lissianna to bite.

Lynsay Sands lives in Canada and is the author of countless award-winning romances, including the bestselling Argeneau vampire series.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Cute Book This is a funny book. Reading the back of the book or the synopsis on Goodreads, I really should have realized that “A Quick Bite” by Lynsay Sands was going to read on the light side. But when I started giggling and finally laughing out loud, I realized that I was reading this book without the slightest inkling as to what I was getting into. I bought this book ages ago and just let it sit there, so I had completely forgotten what to expect. Turns out it’s light, sweet, quirky, sexy and fun. It almost reads more like chick-lit book…until the smokin’ scenes start up with the thrusting and the biting… Then there is no mistaking that you are reading a paranormal romance title! Lissianna is a charming character. She’s smart and sweet and caring. She’s also a vampire who faints at the sight of blood. In Lynsay’s world, vampires are unknown to the general public and feed from bagged blood — unless you are a special case, as is Lissi. Her mother, Marguerite, desperately wants to help find a cure to Lissi’s fear of blood. She reads about a psychologist who specializes in phobias…and brings him home for Lissianna as her birthday present! Dr. Greg Hewitt is about to leave for his first vacation in over 8 years. That is until he finds himself willingly getting inside the trunk of a lovely woman’s car and letting her tie him to a bed. Greg is kicking himself for getting into his situation. His internal dialogue while he’s trying to figure out what to do is amusing. He’s an intellectual and very smart…but he’s still a man. *wink wink* He and Lissi are really cute together. I really enjoyed every character in this book. The cousins are fantastic! I especially loved Thomas. From his pretending to be a bubble head to his wearing skin tight Spider Man pajamas, he provided many of the laugh out loud moments. There is a villain, but he’s more of a nuisance…like a fly, so the overall conflict in the story is pretty low. And even though the story is somewhat predictable, it’s still a joy to read because the characters are adorable. I was told by those who have read them that the rest of the books in the Argeneau series are written on the light side, and if that is indeed the case, I think I’ve found my go-to books after I’ve read a few heavy and very emotional books in a row and I need to ‘lighten up’. Smart, witty and fun. “A Quick Bite” is a good start to a long running series. And long running is right! Lynsay recently released book number 13 of the Argeneau series and book number 14 is due out in stores this November.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Adult Sized Spiderman PJ's? Centuries old vamps having a slumber party, six females in rainbow bright colored baby dolls & one male in Spiderman PJ’s, very funny! I love the Canadian content & for the Torontonian readers as you may have already deduced from your own personal experience… ‘Actually, the Eaton Center and the underground Path were the perfect places for a vampire to hang out, period.’ Best to keep that in mind whilst out on a Saturday night excursion in downtown Toronto! A great offering from Sands, I like her version of Immortals evolving from Nano Technolgy & the Argeneau family offering vastly different characters each of who offer some appeal to the reader. I look forward to reading each of their individual perspectives in the books to come.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quick and Cute I like this book and the relationship built between the two main characters. I keep hearing this first of the series is the weakest so I'm anxious to read the others. I wasn't flipping pages as it was written in a very play by play style which got boring and spoon fed me back information frequently. But, after the half way mark it was much more interesting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from How did you meet your lifemate! Mother's always have the best of intentions, but this just made me laugh how Greg and Lissianna met and how their love began! Once you start this series you just want more and more. The character's are funny, strong, smart, and sexy!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cute This was a cute, funny read about a vampire that faints at the sight of blood. While most vampires no longer get their blood 'on the hoof' and instead get it from blood banks, poor Lissianna has to make do with dining on the jerks and losers she picks up at bars or the homeless shelter where she works. Unfortunately, the denizens of the shelter often have drugs or alcohol problems and so Lissi ends up drunk or stoned. Worried that this inferior blood supply is going to harm her, Lissi's mother gives her a present for her birthday that she will never forget.....a man tied to her bed with a great big red bow! No, he's not dinner, he's actually a psychologist who specializes in curing phobias. Can the sexy doctor cure her? This was a quick, fun read. Lissi's family is large and lovable. Greg, the sexy psychologist was a great character too. Although totally predictable, the story was entertaining even if Lissi is too dense to figure out that someone is trying to kill her.
