The Baudelaires need a safe place to stay—somewhere far away from terrible villains and local police. A quiet refuge where misfortune never visits. Might Heimlich Hospital be just the place? In Lemony Snicket's eighth ghastly installment in A Series of Unfortunate Events, I'm sorry to say that the Baudelaire orphans will spend time in a hospital where they risk encountering a misleading newspaper headline, unnecessary surgery, an intercom system, anesthesia, heart-shaped balloons, and some very startling news about a fire.

Lemony Snicket is often despondent, mostly about his published research, which includes A Series of Unfortunate Events andThe Composer Is Dead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favourite series! I started reading these books in elementary school and continued reading into my teenage years. Daniel Handler aka Lemony Snicket can twist and play with words like no other and his style is a delight to read. Although the unfortunate events are numerous, this is more than a depressing read. The Baudelaires are truly resilient and it's inspiring and comforting all at once. #plumreview

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Part Eight of an Interesting Series All of my friends and I were reading these book when they came out back in our elementary school days. They were different than anything on the market, and we couldn't get enough of it. There was always something to discuss amongst friends during the reading of this series, and all of us in particular remember the entire page on which was written exclusively, and excessively, very, very, very... An excellent series to introduce to younger readers. #plumreviews

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Blech! Lemony Snicket has messed up AGAIN! All the books follow the same plot. I actually think Lemony Snicket has a template made on her computer and she types in a couple words and ANOTHER boring book. These books are completely filler.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the hostile Hospital A really, really good story but the bad thing was that the people in the hospital would notice Claus in his Doctor's uniform so that would not be a very accurate part of the story.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Hostile Hospital This book is a masterpiece in itself. It's an excellent book just like the last seven. Lemony Snicket is a great author and all his books should be read by everyone. The story is believable and unbelievable at the same time. I can't wait until the canivorious canival and the next five after that!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW!!! This book was utterly amazing. Now all I need to know is what Lemony Snicket's real name is. I wish he would hurry up with the carnivorous carnaval.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Snicket did it again Snickets done it again. This one of a kind author has wrote another superior book about the misfortunes of the lives of the Bauldaire orphans. They encounter the Libaray of Records, an intercom, a rusty knife and Count Olafs trunk. They along the way meet the V.F.D's and in hopes of figuring things outs they find out a startling truth... Could a Bauldaire parent be alive?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Hostile Hospital Although the author indicates that this book is horrible it is one of the best books I have ever read.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Hostile Hospital Like all the other Lemony Snicket books, the Baudelaires have a pleasing way to come up with interesting ways to escape from Count Olaf and his assistants. I would reccomend it to everyone!
