Noorbanu Nimji published her first cookbook titled A Spicy Touch in 1986. In 1992, it was replaced with a secondvolume and then, with the first two out of print, Volume 3 in 2007. Each bookhas earned a reputation as “the bible” of the author’s unique culture. The foodis predominantly that of Noorbanu’s North Indian Ismaili Muslim ancestry butalso includes East African favourites from her homeland in Kenya. The serieshas had combined sales of over 250,000 copies.
