Rated 5 out of 5 by from New take on a classic! Amazing! Such an interesting and unique take on a classic! Lots of twits and turns to keep the reader interested! And while there are new ideas and story lines, the classic idea is still there!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dark, Violent Twist On A Classic Disney Tale Going into this new series, I had no idea these books would be so dark or violent. A better description might be "twisted", which, given the titles, would be self-explanatory. But, for whatever reason, I still expected something similar to the well-known and much beloved Disney classics I grew up with. For that reason (naïve as it was), these books left me somewhat disappointed. For those who enjoy a darker reimagining of a classic tale, these books would be perfect. Bloodshed, unforeseen twists, loveable characters suddenly turned into killing machines - perhaps I exaggerate slightly, but to me, these books were just too violent, and not my taste at all. But, like I said, these books will surely appeal to a reader who enjoys dark tales, and so I would still recommend this series to someone who seeks a tale within a tale - something old, and something new, masterfully blended into one unbelievable story.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Twisted Tale As a major fan of Beauty and the Beast I had a little bit of difficulty getting into the book because of the changes. But I ended up loving this book! There were some twists that I didn't see coming and end completely surprised me.
