about

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Giver of Stars, discover the love story that captured over 20 million hearts in Me Before You, After You, and Still Me.

“You’re going to feel uncomfortable in your new world for a bit. But I hope you feel a bit exhilarated too. Live boldly. Push yourself. Don’t settle. Just live well. Just live. Love, Will.”
** **
How do you move on after losing the person you loved? How do you build a life worth living?

Louisa Clark is no longer just an ordinary girl living an ordinary life. After the transformative six months spent with Will Traynor, she is struggling without him. When an extraordinary accident forces Lou to return home to her family, she can’t help but feel she’s right back where she started.

Her body heals, but Lou herself knows that she needs to be kick-started back to life. Which is how she ends up in a church basement with the members of the Moving On support group, who share insights, laughter, frustrations, and terrible cookies. They will also lead her to the strong, capable Sam Fielding—the paramedic, whose business is life and death, and the one man who might be able to understand her. Then a figure from Will’s past appears and hijacks all her plans, propelling her into a very different future. . . .

For Lou Clark, life after Will Traynor means learning to fall in love again, with all the risks that brings. But here Jojo Moyes gives us two families, as real as our own, whose joys and sorrows will touch you deeply, and where both changes and surprises await.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Less than Me Before You I did not want a follow-up story for Me Before You. I thought the story ended there perfectly--everything that happened afterwards could be left to our imagination, for better or worse. But this was not what I imagined or wanted for Louisa Clark, so let's just say that I was struggling through this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Read it for yourself Although this book has a completely different vibe compared to "Me Before You", Lou is still Lou and most of the main characters return for a second round. This book takes you through grieving and finding the ability to reopen your heart. I strongly recommend those who read the first book to give this one a whirl! Quick and easy read. #plumreview

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as good as the first The story was not what I was hoping for. I really enjoyed the first book - well written, and lovely to read about the love story. But this book was as if Lou became a totally different person, even knowing she went through the trauma and grief, it didn't seem like it was the same character. None of the same characteristics or anything. Would recommend reading the first one only. #PlumReview

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your time Oh god, i bought this book because Me Before You was SO GOOD! But man, this book was a drag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly lovely I didn't have high expectations for After You, as Me Before You was such an impactful story, but I knew I had to read it because of how much I love Lou as a character. It may not have been quite as good as the first, but I still really enjoyed it! There were some pretty unexpected plotlines that still read as believable, and ultimately, I really liked reading it. Now reading the third installment (Still Me) and still can't get enough of Lou's quirky hilariousness :) I would recommend this book!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the best sequel I had high expectations for this book as I really enjoyed the first book. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed by the story-line and a part of me wished I haven't picked up this book at all and just let the story of Louisa Clark and Will Turner conclude in Me Before You.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a true love story! Such a touching story. Grab a box of kleenex, it's one of those books you can't put down, you're so involved you feel personally invested in the characters. Although the ending is not what I hoped, I was still very satisfied with the ending. I finished this book with a satisfied feeling and have recommended it to many people!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ok Was very curious how the author was going to write a sequel to such a great book. This book wasn't as inspired as the original but it was believable and well done. I wish there had been a little more humor in the story and I wish the Lilly plot wasn't so messy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very different from Me Before You I was surprised to see that Me Before You was made into a series because the ending of the first book makes it feel like a standalone. Part of me wishes it was a standalone. However, I do like the main character, Lou, and I'm interested in exploring her journey after losing Will. This book is more of a coming-of-age type story and I did enjoy reading it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Bit Disappointing This novel is the sequel to Me Before You. While Me Before You was a better story and more more engaging, Me After You is a story that allows you to travel along with Louisa as she goes through the stages of grief. It's about emancipation as Louisa's mother challenges the confines of the role of women in marriage to the dismay of her daughters and husband. It is done with both strength and humour. Without his ever knowing, Will had fathered a daughter who actively seeks out Louisa. In an unlikely match each helps the other through the grieving process and become a real family.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wasnt worth the time I loveeeeed the first one and the movie but found this very blah and not the style of continuous chapter book after such a great and powerful first book.
Date published: 2018-04-04
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing After finishing "Me before you" in tears, i was really looking forward to reading the sequel. However I was disappointed to discover this was a filler novel. Will's daughter appears from nowhere, no real story line, very boring.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Heart warming I am so happy there was a sequel to me before you. It was hard not to fall in love with Louisa Clarks quirky character. She portrays a strong and independent character. I could keep reading and reading to see what happens next. Although there was a sad event Jojo Moyes seems to be able to make light of it and find humour. Good book a must read especially if you read the first one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Liked it I really enjoyed Me Before You and I liked finding out more about Lou after the fact

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just okay This was an okay book. A bit slow. It got a lot better closer to the end.
Date published: 2018-03-03
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not what I expected.. I was very hesitant to read this book after reading Me before you. However I feel as if reading this book was the ending I needed. It’s not your perfect ending however, it’s real.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected! I was initially hesitant to read this sequel due to my love of the first novel. At first it seemed unnecessary in the story since Me Before You worked so well as a stand-alone novel. After You turned out to be an immensely entertaining novel with all the wit, humour, and emotion of the first. Great read in the continuation of Louisa Clark.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wanted more I really enjoyed this book, but I had a difficult time connecting with the characters in this story compared to the first novel, Me Before You. I felt for Lou and for Sam, but it took a long time for the new character to connect with. A great continuation of the story and excited to see what happens next in Still Me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Good I fell in love with Louisa Clark in "Me before you" so I really enjoyed this follow up story of her life after the events of what happened in the previous book.
Date published: 2018-02-14
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Good This book is a great look on Lu's life after Will, but it's just not the same. I much preferred the first, but I needed to know what happened! Lu's character matures and new characters and problems are added to her life. Overall really good sequel that all "Me Before You" readers must read!
Date published: 2018-01-27
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not so bad I really wanted to know what happened to Loiusa so I bought this book. Yea it is good but not as "Me Before you"
Date published: 2017-02-05
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect sequel I am so glad that Lou Clarke's story continues as she is such a likeable character. Enjoyable read with several surprises!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must read! I became so attached to the character of Lousia in 'Me Before You', and felt the need to know she would be okay after her heartbreak and loss. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and am hoping a third book comes out, following Louisa and her life.
Date published: 2017-01-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from a GREAT read I was hooked and couldn't put the book down. The character Louisa in the novel had got me feeling emotional throughout my read. Glad I gave the book a go.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sequel It was great read. I felt Louisa's pain and her struggle to move on from Will passing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good read Well written, however, first book was better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh, I love this! It's so nice to find out what happens to Louisa after the fact! I adored learning more about her, and her life, and how she deals with the aftermath of Will's passing. A few quirky funny parts, which are lovely!
Date published: 2016-12-20
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Okay I was excited to know what happened next but After You wasn't nearly as good as Me Before You.
Date published: 2016-12-09
Rated 3 out of 5 by from A good tie in book SO I read this one after reading the first and seeing the movie. Had to find out what happens. The book is ok. It is not as good as the first and sometimes the story falls short. I think a little disappointment comes from building the character and story into this big fantasy but then she is living in the real world and dealing with big girl problems. I still enjoyed reading this book and do not regret it at all and to find out what happens helps.
Date published: 2016-12-07
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad Critics I wouldn't believe what I read below regarding it being not as good as the first. It had such wild turns and we got to see how she continued to cope without Will and how she's moved on. I loved it just as much and there should be a movie as well!
Date published: 2016-12-06
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A nice continutation It didn't compare to Me Before You, but it was nice to be with the characters again :).
Date published: 2016-12-03
Rated 4 out of 5 by from It was so good to find out what happens after :) This book was a surprise from the beginning to the last page. It's a heartwarming story.
Date published: 2016-11-29
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay I was really hoping this would be as good as Me Before You, but it fell short. I was not as engrossed and wanting to know what would happen; I could easily put the book down. It was an okay read, but not one I would highly recommend. I missed feisty Will and his bantering with Clark.
Date published: 2016-11-29
Rated 3 out of 5 by from not as good as Me Before You I really loved Me Before You and didn't necessarily think that it needed a sequel, however, I am the type or person that needs to know what happens. I'm happy I borrow the book from a friend and didn't buy it as I felt that the author was just writing it to make some more money and threw obvious things in there that could happen. I did enjoy it and it did make me laugh, Louisa's parents are quite funny characters. I recommend reading it if, like me, you like to finish off a story and know what happens.
Date published: 2016-11-27
Rated 4 out of 5 by from not as good as the original Don't go in with high expectations. It is interesting to see everyone again, but it's not the same without Will.
Date published: 2016-11-24
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wrapped up in a bow I really liked the follow up with Louisa. Getting to learn how she was coping and where her life went after.
Date published: 2016-11-22
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not sure how I feel about this I adored Me Before You and couldn't wait to get my hands on this one; but it felt more like fan fiction than a continuation. I loved how the first one ended and almost wish I had left the story alone. That being said, it's hard to resist Louisa Clarke and the Traynor family.
Date published: 2016-11-20
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Yay After the first book this one was refreshing and really gives the reader closure. Made me feel alot better but also upset that she moved on so quickly. . .great book though leaves you happy as apposed to the first one where you were left with a broken heart and tears
Date published: 2016-11-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worthy Sequel As is to be expected, this is not nearly as good as Me Before You. However, it is a very worthy sequel. If you want to know what happens to Lou after the events of MBY, then I would definitely recommend this book. You will not be disappointed.
Date published: 2016-11-15
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Read this! I was very skeptical about a sequel as I thought Me Before You had a well done ending. After you takes a bit to get into, but once you are into it, it is a great continuation of a heartbreaking story.
Date published: 2016-11-14
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A true ending... I believe this sequel to "Me Before You" was a true look at Clarks life after the loss of her first love. It was filled with a real look at what any of us would go through after losing a best friend, a love, and a future of which is filled with questions like "what now?" I continue to enjoy Jojo Moyes stories and characters and since Clark was a favorit to read about it had me turning the pages on page one.
Date published: 2016-11-13
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Book! Definitely a little harder to get into than Me Before You, but when you do, you don't want to put it down. A great read and addition to Me Before You.
Date published: 2016-11-13
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great sequel I didn`t think I was going to enjoy this book but decided to give it a whirl anyway. It was slow to start but after the first little bit I was hooked. I would recommend it for sure.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from loved- could be better Loved this book, sadly I was expecting more also a better ending, hopefully there will be a third book to end this sequel.
Date published: 2016-11-12
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good follow up I enjoyed this book. I thought it was a good follow up to the first. It was nice to read about these characters again.
Date published: 2016-11-12
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Was expecting more. I am glad I read the sequel. I thought it was going to be as good as the first.
Date published: 2016-11-10
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent- Could Have Been Better! I wasn't planning on to read this book after finishing, "Me Before You", but a part of me really wanted to know what happened to Louisa! I strongly felt that this story cannot go further without Will, and sadly it kind of did. (I mean, isn't that what Will wanted from Louisa- to keep going, to #liveboldly)?! I also kind of felt that Lou didn't get why Will decided what he decided... It's his choice and yet I felt like she didn't come to terms with that... I don't know, maybe this book shouldn't have been written... Couldn't we all just safely assume that Lou was going to #liveboldly?!
Date published: 2016-11-08
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good. Not as good as Me Before You. Lacks the raw romance, the relationship between Louisa and the paramedic is a joke. Makes Louisa different from the woman who fell in love with Will. ANd the new found daughter? Still an OK read. #plumreview
Date published: 2016-11-07
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enjoyed it! I couldn't wait to read this BOOK and it wasn't a disappointment! It was a great sequel to the first book and I liked the Lou's character development! Must read!
Date published: 2016-11-06
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sequel!! I could not wait for this novel to come out. Although I loved Me before You, I felt that the character of Lou was left hanging. I love the character of Lou, she is cute and funny. Moyes did a great job depicting the struggle of loosing a loved one throughout Lou's character. Not sure how much more Moyes can write about Lou but I would LOVE to read a third book in the series.
Date published: 2016-11-04
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Sequel I'm always hesitant when it comes to sequels, and after Will died, I didn't know what else could be done. But WOW. Very well written sequel. I'm glad I bought it!!
Date published: 2016-11-04
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Bad For A Sequel It's not as addictive as "Me Before You" but is still a good read if you're curious about what happened after the events of the previous book. #plumreview
Date published: 2016-11-03
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wonderful sequel After you was a great addition to show the aftermath for what happens after Before You. Lou is relatable and you want her to do well. It is easily to become emotionally invested, and you don't want to put the book down. I hope there is another book with these characters coming.
Date published: 2016-11-03
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sequel! Me Before You is one of my all time favourite books, and I didn't see how a sequel could equal in comparison, and I wasn't sure how I would feel about Lou after Will. But Jojo Moyes surprised me and did a great job telling Lou's story. I was just as emotionally involved in her life as I was in the first book, and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Date published: 2016-11-03
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just Okay I thought this would be a page-turner, just like the "Me Before You" was, but it definitely was not.Much slower story-line and it took me much longer to get into it. I felt that it definitely wrapped up the story in a nice way.I would recommend it only for the purpose of finishing the story-line.
Date published: 2016-08-31
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad It was a great book. However I hoped for it to be a bit more descriptive and detailed.
Date published: 2016-08-07
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for the beach A lovely follow up to Me Before You.
Date published: 2016-08-01
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Enjoyable Found the number of life defining events to be a bit tedious if not over the top. Moyes is adept at conveying the human condition in a way that makes for a pleasant read.
