Anne Brontë was an English novelist and poet, the youngest member of the Brontë literary family. Her novels, have become classics of English literature. Agnes Grey, based upon her experiences as a governess. Agnes Grey is dutiful and loyal, the impoverished daughter of a minister. When her father loses the family fortune in an ill-fated business venture, she feels obliged to find employment as a governess to help the family income and to make ends meet. She works for the Bloomfield family at Wellwood House for a few years, and meets Edward Weston, a local churchman, with whom she slowly but surely falls in love with. But will her feelings be reciprocated?
