pubOne.info thank you for your continued support and wish to present you this new edition. The patient, an old-fashioned man, thought the nurse made a mistake in keeping both of the windows open, and her sprightly disregard of his protests added something to his hatred of her. Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 1922 Pulitzer Prize Winner This is one of those quintessential American Lit books. It deals with family dynamics, social climbers, the pressure to support a family and keep up appearances. Given that it was written in 1922, there are some racially insensitive terms (no "N word", however) that might bother some. Katherine Hepburn did a great job in the 1935 film adaptation, but the book is better.
