All Cats Have Asperger Syndrome takes a playful look at Asperger Syndrome (AS), drawing inspiration from the feline world in a way that will strike a chord with all those who are familiar with AS.

Delightful colour photographs of cats bring to life familiar characteristics such as sensitive hearing, scampering at the first sign of being stroked, and particular eating habits.

Touching, humorous and insightful, this book evokes the difficulties and joys of raising a child who is different and leaves the reader with a sense of the dignity, individuality, and potential of people with AS.

This engaging book is an ideal, gentle introduction to the world of AS.

`There is a great deal of truth in humour. If you have only just begun to discover why someone with Asperger''s syndrome is different, this book will inform and entertain you. The descriptions provide an accurate balance between the qualities and difficulties associated with Asperger''s syndrome, while the photographs will make the journey of discovery enjoyable and remarkable.''

- Tony Attwood, author of Asperger''s Syndrome and The Complete Guide to Asperger''s Syndrome

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I don't even know where to begin... I have never in my life been so stunned by a book in such a personal way, let alone a children's book. As I flipped through the pages I became more and more overwhelmed and emotional because every page was about my life. I'm 38 years old, and have only now realized who I am. For others who may have AS, this is a beautiful place to start, perhaps because it's so simple. Yes, I mean that for adults too, not just for AS children.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thank You! I have just ordered 2 copies of this book, one for my 11 year old daughter who has recently been diagnosed with AS, and one for the library at her school. Our local library borrowed the book from another on behalf of our family. My daughter also LOVES cats, and was amazed that almost every page was an accurate description of herself. It has helped take her perspective of a negative to a positive, if all cats have aspergers, she's okay with it too. Thank you Kathy Hoopman for helping my daughter cope with her understanding of this disorder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect introduction I have waited this book for a long time. I thought it was some kind of an essay but, fortunately, I was wrong. It is a picture book, on every page is a beautiful picture of a cat with a caption saying something about an Asperger trait. It is sooooo cute! My child who has both the Asperger syndrome and a great attachment to cats will no doubt love it. The information given is very pertinent and straigh to the point. This is the perfect coffee table book for the family dealing with the diagnosis and who want to say something about it to family and friends without getting in too much detail.
