Toni Davis's Christmas wish list

1. Springing my best friend from the psych ward.

2. Living somewhere that doesn't have coffins in the basement. Occupied coffins.

3. Finding Mr. Right. Please make him tall, dark, handsome, and alive.

This Christmas isn't so merry for Toni. Her best friend's been locked up in a mental hospital ever since she told the police she was attacked by vampires, and the only way for Toni to get her out is to prove that bloodsuckers really do exist. So she's taken a job as a bodyguard for the Undead, but she gets more than she bargained for, especially when she meets Ian MacPhie, a Scottish rascal looking for Ms. Right.

Although Ian's nearly five centuries old, he looks and acts like a twenty-seven-year-old hunk.

How can a dead man be so damn sexy? Could Mr. Wrong be Mr. Right? One forbidden kiss could lead to an eternity of passion—and all it takes is one moment under the mistletoe . . .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "All I Want for Christmas is a Vampire" by Kerrelyn Sparks. Book 5 in the Love at Stake series. Really really liked this book. I've been hoping Ian was going to get a book of his own since he was mentioned in the first book in the series, I just wasn't sure how Ms. Sparks was going to make Ian, a vampire who was turned when he was 15 years old and still looks like he's 15, have a love story. But she did it!! Ian has taken 12 doses of the Stay-Awake drug that Roman has invented, all because he wanted the side effects of the drug...for each dose makes a vampire one year older. In Ian's case, he no longer looks like a 15 year old boy, but is now a 27 year old man. But Ian is almost 500 years old already and now he wants to find his true love. So of course, online dating! Number one on his list of what kind of woman he wants...she MUST be a Vamp. So of course when he meets Toni, the new day-time mortal guard and is attracted to her, he gets really confused with his own feelings. Toni has taken a job guarding vampires in order to prove that they exist. Her best friend Sabrina was attacked by vampires and now she's in a mental institution. If Toni can get proof that vamps actually exist, she can free Sabrina. Only she didn't count on meeting Ian, a really nice, polite and handsome vamp. Toni was also attacked by vampires so she doesn't understand why this one is being so nice to her. Will she get the proof she needs to free Sabrina, or will she keep Ian's secret vampire life a secret? Really well written. Beautifully descriptive. Laughter and romance all in one. Loved the chemistry between Ian and Toni. And learning more about what is happening in other characters' lives from the previous books was really well incorporated into the story line. Really enjoyed this read. I will definitely be continuing on with the series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I know what I want for Christmas!!! Another great book in this series! I like Toni's character, she is determined to prove her best friend right and also spring her from the pysch ward. Ian looked like a 15 year old boy, but really was much older than that. Being changed into a vampire at a young age has had some challenges, but when he took the stay awake drug and aged, he now looks like he is 27. He is looking for his true love and is determined what he wants, but it may be a mortal who fits the bill more than a vamp.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from All she did not want for christmas, a vampire She tries to save her best friend from her best friends' uncle. Needs proof to get sabrina out of the mental instatute for they have big planes. Will that all change over a job as an seceriety gard for vampires, particulary a tall dark hair scottish man , or should i say vamp?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A better Xmas story than the Grinch! This was Ian's story and thank god they let him grow up. There was too much complaining over the fact that he was a 15 year old for over 400 years. Now that Ian looks like a man all he wants is a vamp lady to share his life with. The only trouble is the one person that seems to snare his heart is a human who wants to expose the vampire race so that she can get her friend out of a mental hospital. I liked this story alot cause I read it during chrismas and it got me in the mood...for christmas! Get your minds out of the gutters.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not a bad book but kind of Corny I typically enjoy Kerrelyn Sparks books, as a matter of fact I’m usually a big fan of this series, but this novel just didn’t do it for me. The story line was good for the most part, as a reader I didn’t feel bored, the main characters were funny, but…… here it comes….. they fell in love with each other with in seven days! Ok, usually I just ignore it when I read a book and the main characters fall madly in love after one kiss and (gag) a poem, but it still rubs me the wrong way. I can usually take some fuzzy wuzzy lovey dovey writing but lets get real, seven days? Maybe some of you think I’m being too harsh, but I guess I’ve gotten too used to JR Ward and her writing. And yes I will happily buy the next novel in this series and have a good laugh or two like I did reading this one. I really enjoy all the characters, they’re like a big vampire family. Sorry if some of you think I’m being mean.
