about

A trade summit on Corellia brings Han Solo back  to the home world he left many years before.  Arriving on the distant planet with Leia, their children  and Chewbacca, Han finds Corellia overrun with  agents of the New Republic Intelligence and finds  himself part of a deceptive plan whose aim not even  he understands. One thing is clear: the five  inhabited worlds of the sector are on the brink of civil  war and the once peaceful coexistence of the three  leading races -- human, Selonian, and Drallan --  has come to an end.
Roger MacBride Allen is the author of several SF novels, including a number in the Star Wars universe, as well as his own Chronicles of Solace space opera trilogy. He lives in Maryland.

Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I am currently reading through the Star Wars universe. This was an excellent but quick read. It fits in with the overall story nicely. Make sure you read it as part of the Trilogy for full value.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mostly decent book I cannot complain too much about the lack of a conclusion because it is book one of the trilogy. That being said, I am still a champion for one longer, although, less convulted novel. The Lando storyline was weak, and Luke, a full blown Jedi Master isn't getting used the way a Jedi should be used. Potentially, this story will make better use of Luke in the future, and Lando...well Lando can do what Lando does. I have not enjoyed any Lando storylines in some time. I am going to read the next two volumes soon, so I keep you posted.

From Our Editors

When Han Solo returns to his home planet Corellia for a trade summit, he discovers it's vastly different from the world he left several years earlier. No longer a peaceful planet where three races coexist happily, Corellia is now overrun with agents of the New Republic and is on the brink of civil war. Now Han and Leia find themselves caught up in a diabolical plan that they cannot even begin to understand, and everything that they and the Alliance have fought for is threatened. Ambush at Corellia is an exciting new instalment in the Star Wars saga.
