Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent 1st guide for Girls and their Mothers This book is extremely accessible for girls, and well laid out. Many books on this subject give the basic facts about physical & emotional changes, but this one also covers information on peer pressure, substance abuse, depression, crushes and relationships, anger management, curiosity, handling parents, and more from a perspective kids can relate to, with quotes from other kids going through the same thing. The cover says a lot about what makes this book special. It's not written so as to be a lecture on the bald facts, but also to be entertaining. We borrowed this book from the library for 3 consecutive months. I'll be buying a copy for myself.
