about

Are you ready to meet your next book boyfriend? Hunky Nathan Vaughn, six-six, and one muscled vampire warrior, is waiting for you in AMETHYST FLAME. He’s had a lot of trouble in his life and needs a good woman to help even things out. Can you see yourself as Emma, the beautiful witch who believes all vampires are bad, but who can’t seem to resist the call of so much exquisite masculinity?

Meet Vaughn right now, in Amethyst Flame, Book 2 of the Flame Series, a standalone story!

Vaughn and Emma have met once in the past, the night they rescued three teenage girls from a kidnapping ring. But a vampire and a witch can’t have a relationship in Five Bridges. So, they parted, determined never to see each other again.

Emma was desolate, then the phone rang. Vaughn called and kept calling and she kept answering.

But the rescue they shared turned out to piss off one very bad wizard who decided they both needed to die. Now they’re in it, fighting to stay alive and working oh-so-hard NOT to fall in love. Will they survive when so much is against this ill-fated couple?

Everything you need is in their story.

From how they meet for the second time and survive a brutal attack…

…to landing in each other’s arms when they should be doing anything else but …

…to discovering love in the middle of a nightmare …

…to finally battling the evil in their world and reaching a happily-ever-after!

Of course, there’s so much more to AMETHYST FLAME. You’ll enjoy the world of Five Bridges where several ‘alter’ species live in a cordoned off province in the middle of Phoenix, Arizona. You’ll discover how the different ‘flame’ drugs have taken over the city and threaten to eradicate human life as nothing has before.  And you’ll feel the searing heat when Vaughn and Emma ride the flames of passion.

But the best part?

You’ll get hours of escape from the sometimes difficult and often irritating chores of life. Oh, yes, and you’ll come away refreshed with a new book boyfriend.

So scroll back to the top and grab a copy today because Vaughn is waiting for you! Better hurry, though, or someone else may take him home first!

Do you like stories with vampires, or witches in it? Do you like action along with your romance? Do you like hot sex scenes, or hot sexy vamps? I asked all these questions of the person reading the review for the first book of the series, Blood Flame. So did you like that story, you'll like this one just as much. I enjoyed Amethyst Flame just as much as book 1, Blood Rose. If you missed that one, no problem. The characters in the first book are mentioned, but this really is a stand-alone book. So give this one a try and if you like it go back and read Blood Flame. So again we have vamps, weres and witches and a necromancer (or dead talkers as they're called in the book). We have action and more action. We have the corrupt others, the good others. And of course there's the hot hot sex scenes, but tastefully done. And if the vamps keep going to .. well that's a spoiler but if you'll get it if you read the book .. there's not going to be any good ones left in their sector. Just a random thought there. As I said in my Blood Flame review, you know you're going to get the HEA but it's getting there that's interesting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wondering what will happen next This book runs along the same lines as Blood Flame. Vampire, witch, corrupt officials out to get them and the pair having to unite to overcome their enemies. This installment also includes werewolves so that is definitely a plus. But as I read this book I realized that something BIG is about to happen. why would districts otherwise segregated from each other sudden begin finding mates in the opposite species, gaining new skills and sharing strengths. And this something BIG is what I am really looking forward to. ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Five Bridges World! Amethyst Flame is the second story in the Flame series set in the supernatural world of Five Bridges. As with Blood Flame, this story revolves around a vampire, Vaughn, and a witch, Emma, natural enemies in this fascinating world where corruption abounds. Vaughn and Emma had "hooked up" previously for a night after rescuing three teenage girls, destined for the underground sex and drug trade. Although both knew nothing further could come of their relationship, they continued to talk on the phone keeping in contact. When they're set up to die, Vaughn and Emma's attraction grows as they partner to stop the ruthless spellcaster behind the kidnapping of teenage girls, and their feelings start to take over. An extremely well-written and fluid story, Amethyst Flame was a delight to read. With strong characters and the introduction of characters who will, undoubtedly, have their own stories in the future, the plot flows along nicely as our couple fight evil, with a little help from their friends. To me, it seemed more rushed than Blood Flame, with some repetition I could have done without. Iris and Connor's story was, no doubt, hard to top. However, that being said, it is still a very enjoyable read, with a lot of surprises along the way. Filled with action, hot intense encounters, the intertwining of powers, "helpful" ghosts and some new interesting characters, Amethyst Flame has left me hoping the third in the series comes quickly. (Gifted a copy for independent review)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it. Gifted copy for honest review. I really enjoyed reading Amethyst Flame (The Flames Series Book 2). This story is about Vaughn, a vampire, and Emma, a witch. The story and characters are great. They become targets and everyone wants them dead. They battle wizards, shifters and vampires. This was a great read.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great story!!! This story is centered around Border Patrol officer Vaughn and Trib officer-Witch Emma DeLacey. Extremely attracted to each other, they agreed to not see each other anymore because each of their alter species being enemies, but they keep getting thrown together. An old, powerful enemy wants revenge upon them for interfering with his skin trade business. Vaughn and Emma should be able to work together, feelings and all, because they don't expect to live through the next couple days. I love this story! The only thing I didn't like was Emma CONSTANTLY talking about Max, her murdered shifter boyfriend. She couldn't talk about her feelings for Vaughn without mentioning Max. I think Vaughn was secretly irritated with it too. Vaughn is a gorgeous, muscled, uber sexy vampire. He's very sweet to Emma. I have a new appreciation for vampires and their pointy teeth. His soul is tortured because of the whole incident regarding his sister. Aside from the whole Emma-Max thing, this was a great story and I can't wait for the next one. Received a copy in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed is my own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amethyst Flames When surrounded by corruption, it’s best not to trust anyone but for Officer Vaughn and Emma Delacey they’ll have to trust each other if they want to survive a madman’s torture in this thrilling paranormal romance. Not only is Emma a witch and Vaughn a vampire but they are from two different patrols so when they are both called to the scene of the same crime, warning bells start clanging and the reader can’t help but get caught up in all the thrills as they join forces to survive all while trying to keep their distance from each other. The chemistry is a super-heated volcano ready to erupt and the sex scenes are explosive but the relationship has a few strikes against it not to mention that their lives could end at any moment which makes for some very intense encounters. Strong, captivating characters pull you into their story while the fast paced, smooth flowing plot keeps readers on the edge of their seat with lots of suspense, excitement and romance. There’s lots of emotional tension throughout the story due to personal demons as well as the dangerous situation that Vaughn and Emma find themselves in while daring rescues and dangerous enemies adds lots of excitement to the story and in this case some extra help from other patrols and a few ghosts add a little spice to the all the tension. The intriguing events ensure that the reader doesn’t want to miss one second of the non-stop action and thrills and the well written scenes and details provides vivid imagery that makes it easy for the reader to picture each and every scene with unexpected twists keeping the readers and the characters on their toes. Once again, Five Bridges is the place to visit for excitement, passion and sexy characters and I can’t wait to read Dark Flame.
