My mixed-breed cat, half domestic tabby, half Scottish wildcat. The size of a small Labrador, only mad.

Stupid underwear. What's the point of them, anyway? They just go up your bum, as far as I can tell.

Full-Frontal Snogging:
Kissing with all the trimmings, lip to lip, open mouth, tongues ... everything.

Her dad's got the mentality of a Teletubby (only not so developed). Her cat, Angus, is trying to eat the poodle next door. And her best friend thinks she looks like an alien -- just because she accidentally shaved off her eyebrows. Ergghhhlack. Still, add a little boy-stalking, teacher-baiting, and full-frontal snogging with a Sex God, and Georgia's year just might turn out to be the most fabbitty fab fab ever!

Louise Rennison is the internationally bestselling and award-winning author ofWithering Tights,A Midsummer Tights Dream, and the angst-filled Confessions of Georgia Nicolson series. She lives in Brighton, the San Francisco of England (apart from the sun, Americans, the Golden Gate Bridge, and earthquakes).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides I simply didn't get this book. I was so desperate to find hidden meaning in it, but there was nothing. Why waste so much paper and ink on something so overtly pretentious and so utterly meaningless? A group of oppressed sisters kill themselves after flirting with the neighborhood boys. How horrible that it happened in the middle of suburban America, where white picket fences are supposed to render such neighborhoods impermeable to tragic teenage death. In the end, all I got from this book was the fact that the girls were peculiar (and hello! at least one was not a virgin when she committed suicide), the boys were immature, the girls' parents were psychotic. Okay, sure, I get that there may have been metaphors and themes about the hypocrisy of middle America, oppressive religion, etc. etc

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Childhood Favourites This is something I read back in high school and I laughed so hard the first time I read it. Trying to reread it now is more irritating because the writing is pretty juvenile. And yes, I know Georgia is 14 and she has a lot of growing up to do. I just don't want to relive how annoying it can be when you're that age.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Funny and quirky read! Loved these books! They are so funny and relatable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hilarious I dedicate my awkward teenage years to this book series. From accidentally shaving half my eyebrows off, to broken hearts and high school, this book had it all. It was relatable, and hilarious which is why I still read them sometimes, even in my twenties.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hilarious Page Turner This series is highly relatable to any teen girl, and quite funny as well. The entire novel is so random and nutty that you won't want to put it down because you have to know what happens next. It's not nearly as "inappropriate" as the title may suggest to a caring mother.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from What a knob The main character is totally nuts but she's definitely funny. Thank goodness this isn't my life

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Witty, hilarious and relateble I cannot express how much I love this series. It's hilarious, witty and relateble. Georgia Nicholson is arguably one of the most memorable YA literary characters. I still quote lines of this book series with my friends all these years later.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great laugh Hillariosity! This is another book, from the brits, that people either love or hate. I happen to love this series, and laughed so hard all the way through. I think people who hate this book are turned off by the main character Georgia. She is vain, self centered, hormonal, ridiculous and, I think, absolutely fabulous. I've read the entire series and always recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant! I don't know how many times I've gone back and re-read these books--they are funny every single time!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vair Vair Fabulous I grew up reading this series. The first book came out when I was in grade nine, and I thought it was the funniest book I had ever read. When the second book came out, I was super excited to read more of Georgia's ridiculous adventures. This series will always have a place in my heart. I read each book as they came out, and it was a wonderful experience. This book and the rest in the series are funny, ridiculous, fun, fast and easy reads that every teenager should get a kick out of. They are seriously great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A chance to escape I first watched the movie a few years ago and found it so ridiculous that it was amazing. Then I found out theres a book.... I love how funny it is and how chill it is and it really gives me the opportunity to escape my stressful day and enter the brain of a naive teenager who is truly exploring life through mistakes and misguidance. I can't wait to finish the series and observe how Georgia develops through her teens. #plumreview

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always good for a laugh This is pretty much the greatest series ever written, viking dances, moody guitar-strumming-boys, Scottish Wildcats, that sex god with a guitar, semi-relatable teenage drama, disco inferno, embarrassingly large knickers and did i mention Robbie Jennings?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hilarious I started reading this series 10 years ago when this book came out, and they constantly kept me laughing. I'm in my mid-twenties and still flip through them from time to time to get a good laugh. They are brutally honest and pretty much what every teen is thinking or going through at some point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So many laughs! I LOVE Louise Rennison novels! I have read and re-read this book over the past decade and still keep it on my shelf as one of my favourite books to read! Buy this book; you won't regret it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hilarious! While these books are definitely shallow and juvenile, it's done in a way that is downright hilarious, and are exactly the perfect antidote to a bad day. This series had me laughing so hard I was crying, and while I'm not sure if they'd be a reread for me, I am definitely glad I took the chance on them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVED this Series!!! My absolute favourite series as a teen. The Confessions of Georgia Nicholson is funny and honest, and at times even a little emotional. The characters are absolutely fantastic and the books only get better as the series goes on! Would absolutely recommend for girls 14-19.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Angus Suprised Me I really did not think this book would be for someone like me when my friend recommended it to me, but I was wrong! To read Georgia Nicolson's diary was funny, entertaining , and I don't think I was bored for more than 10 seconds. I would tell someone to read this book, especially if they were looking for something light-hearted, refreshing, and humourous. And of course, who wouldn't want to read about a cat named Angus?
Date published: 2010-02-27
Rated 3 out of 5 by from It was alright This book wasn't bad, but it was just alright for me. Some good and funny moments, but overall not what I expected. I feel it was more for younger teens if anything.
Date published: 2009-07-26
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hahahaha Well, first of all, like everyone else said, this book was HILARIOUSE! A very quick light read. I loved all the British words that I didn't understand, they just made it even funnier. I have to say my favorite character was Angus, the cat. Reminded me so much of my cat, Meow. Funny stuff aha. I recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from hilarious and engaging i would reccommend this book to anyone, young or old. it's similar in feel to bridget jones's diary, but aimed toward younger readers perhaps. that doesn't mean grownups can't enjoy it too. the characters are comical and engaging, and the whole book is extremely well written. i flew through it in two sittings, and eagerly await the arrival of the rest of the series, which i ordered as soon as i finished.
Date published: 2009-05-19
Rated 5 out of 5 by from FABULOUS!! This book is amazing! A great book. So fun to read. Sorta raunchy but still hilarious! The cool thing is the book is that it's based Louise Rennison's (author) teen life.
Date published: 2008-11-26
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Why Georgia? Georgia is every cliche you have ever heard about teenagers (obsessed with make-up, boys, and herself). The book follows her through a year as she deals with her insane parents, cute sister, SG (the sex god she loves), her sometimes friends, and her huge cat. Georgia is nothing if not entertaining. The books was pretty clean, a lot of talk of snogging (kissing), but nothing I would warn people about. Great fun!
Date published: 2008-11-23
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging I found this book lacked the reality of the emotions that teenage girls truly experience. The situations that Georgia gets herself into and how she handles them or I should say how her emotions are not portrayed in the book make the book lacking in a big way. For Georgia to go to a neighborhood boy and have him take her to his bedroom to teach her how to kiss just seems wrong. It may happen, but Georgia just thinks it's all fun and games including the time another boy puts his hand on her clothed breast. All the things that happen to Georgia should be full of feeling and even dark feelings, but her character just shrugs it all off. All the situations with boys involves kissing and making-out, there is not one healthy relationship in this book. In the end Georgia who is fourteen starts a secret relationship with an eighteen year old very good looking boy, seriously, what a bad role model for teenage girls. If only Georgia would speak to us about her feelings and emotions, it would make "Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging" a better book. "Alice, I Think" written by Canadian Susan Juby is definitely a better pick if you want to have a good laugh and feel the true emotions of a teenage girl.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very COOL This book is for older people because this book holds older consepts that suit 9-23 year olds. This book is also humorus in ways. There is violent language in this book.there are some gross scenes.I reccamend this book to girls NOT boys.Only boys how are gross would want to read this book. But this is maybe a mounth of readind.Maybe if you are a fast reader you might have this one done in two weeks. But I don't want to say anything else about the book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Peed my thong laughing! As an adult (?), I bought this for my niece and then thought I'd better read it (to check for suitability, obviously). Had to buy the whole series and read those too (again for suitability!) Would not recommend reading in public as others will think you are v.v.v. strange as you crack a laugh and then can't stop...
Date published: 2007-11-25
Rated 5 out of 5 by from VAIR VAIR FUNNY! This book is absolutely brilliantly packed with British humour as your follow the daily angst of Georgia Nicholson and her mates. It is written in the form a young girl's diary as she records what happens during her day. Rennison is a great comical writer for all ages who leaves the reader in stitches. (I know, I've recommended it to all my friends!) It will honestly leaving in tears laughing. But always remember when reading in public, it WILL leave you laughing out loud! (I've learned from experience!) So, if you need a good laugh or if you want a good read, you should DEFINITELY read this book!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still laughing This is one of the funniest books I have ever read, and one of the only to ever make me laugh out loud. Not just chuckle, but full out laugh. The author really gives Georgia a great voice. I have read the entire series and would recommend them to any girl. My little sister loved them too, so they're great for teenagers and those of us who remember what those years were like. They are even still funny the second time through :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as I thought My friend let me borrow this book - I was always anxious to read it. Unfortunately, it wasn't as 'fabbity fab fab' as the reviews said it was. I was disappointed with it. I liked it a little, it made me laugh a few times, but wasn't as good as other novels I've read. I'd recommend this book to kids who would leave elementary school soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Wow....this is an amazing book. My friend first told me about the book and I thought it would be weird because of the title, but my friend kept on bragging about it so I went out and bought one and WOW is all that I can say. It is really quite funny but some parts may not be for younger pre-teens depending on their maturity level but I recommend this book to any one that is in need for a good laugh.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Angus thongs and FFS This has got to be one of the funniest books i have ever read! It was so funny i almost peed myself laughing (key word there being ALMOST as i did not actually wet my pants because that would make me a poor unfortunate girl whos only friends are books and when she is not reading them she is writing naff reviews of them on the internet...) But anyways if you read any of the goerga books and do not laugh at least a squillion times you are either a) completly numb to any sort of fealing obviosly because of some rational explanation you Psychiatrist will give you if you havent already started going to one or b) the sarcasm and wisdomosity and hilariosity just goes way over your head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Funny I have read the first two installments in the life of Georgia Nicholson and i'd just like to say that i thought it was incredibly funny. I'm 20 yrs old, not only could i relate to the teen drama but i couldn't stop laughing through either of the books. I loaned it to my mother and a couple of my friends and they found it as funny as i did. I definitely think that every teenage girl should read along with every girl(or woman)that she may know. If nothing else it's a good laugh, an easy read, and always full of surprises.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bring on Further Confessions Wow, this book was split your sides funny. Her antics to get the Sex God drove me crazy! I couldn't wait to read the next one, which ended up being just as funny, maybe even more so. This week I am going to buy the 3rd. Hopefully this one will be just as good as the first two. And Louise, I can't wait for the fourth!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Laugh Out Loud, SPECTACULAR I can't say enough about this book. On the second day I had it I was already half way through, I couldn't put it down. This book tells about the agony and pain that teenage girls have to go through everyday, but she makes it sound so funny, you forget you even have problems. I love this book, I bought the second one when I bought the first one so I could start reading it right away. I can't wait to start On the Bright Side I am Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God!!! I would highly recommend this book to anyone who knows what funny really is!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best! When my friend suggested that I read Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging , I thought, Why not? I like to read and I hadn't found anything good in a while. I'd been sort of skeptical, just kind of thinking well, it won't hurt but i'm not expecting anything great. How wrong was I??? This book is absolutely great! It's hilarious and I couldn't put it down! I read it in about three hours-I've never read a book that quickly before!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great from cover to cover This book was great to read because it talks about real issues that teens face in real life. Georgia is a very interesting character and she brought tons of life to the book. This is the perfect book for teen girls ( I don't reacommend teen boys though).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Roll out the Roll necks I enjoyed this book greatly, i am 14 and have had one of the many experiances that our friend Gerogie has gone through. This is truly a teenager's guied to what life is like. With all our insucurities, misgivind and dissapointing times this is a funny and witty way of viewing the situations one goes through as a teenager. The glossery at the back helped my Canadian brain more then once and i'm sure some would be lost without it. After i had read it (in one night) my mum picked it up and read it in 5 hours. She said she had gone through a life not too much unlike the main character and her friends, the disapointment and hardship of teenagerhood is there in that book and it comes alive in the jokings and rantings of a 14 year old human being. I cant wait to read the next book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha There is only one thing that I have to say about this book- it was hilarious! Seriously, I have never laughed so hard at a book before. Georgia is one of the most witty, yet incurably sarcastic, persons I've ever met. Which makes her so interesting, and fun to read about. I could not put this book down! I read it in 2 days. I highly reccommend this book, and when you're through you'll be dying to read the second. If I had 10 thumbs, i would so give this book 10 thumbs up. Excellent work, Louise!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Amazing The book Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging was amazing. There was a laugh out loud humour as we are being brought through her life, learning about her troubled (in her mind, anyway) Vati , her experiences with boys, and the welcome to teenage life, where everything is weird and awkward. The glossary in the back of the book I also found very helpful....... This was definitely one of the best books I have ever read and I look forward to reading the sequel On the Bright Side, I'm Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Laughing Out Loud When this book was suggested by fellow book club members I took their recommendations to heart despite the fact that I am old enough to be a grandmother. I was not disappointed! We follow Georgia's antics via her daily diary on a laughing out loud journey through life. Angus, her mixed breed cat and a three year old baby sister add a delightful mix to the story. Makeup, boys, talking on the phone, worrying about the state of her ever changing body; all made me realise how little some things change even after 40 years! A must read even for adults.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Book For Teens As being a teen in the year 2001, the book Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging brought out the dirty secrets that teens hide. It also shows the douts and fears of a girl just realizing that she's becoming more "womanly" by the day. The fact that she may move increases the hilarity of the way she speaks, acts and what she does a lot. I reccomend this book to anyone of all ages, but just girls!
