Now a young woman and her romance with Gilbert Blythe beginning to flourish, Anne Shirley becomes Principal of Summerside High School. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Good To me this wasn't one of the best, but still a good addition to the series. I really enjoy Anne and Gilbert's relationship, and I found this story lacked that. Pretty good book though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My very favourite Windy Poplars holds a special place in my heart... slightly out of step with the other "Anne" books but in the most wonderful way. The cover art for this particular paperback is so stunning as well, I'm working to collect all of them from this publisher - makes a beautiful collector's piece. #plumreview

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love all the ANNE books but this one was dark! This book is a bit more on the darker side. I read somewhere that Lucy Maud Montgomery intended it that way, and it wasn't written in sequence with the whole series. So it has a different tone to it than the other books of the "Anne of Green Gables' Series. It is a good book to read.
