With more than thirty million books in print, Jan Brett is one of the nation's foremost author/illustrators of children's books. Jan lives in a seacoast town in Massachusetts, close to where she grew up. During the summer her family moves to a home in the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect to Read When Spring's Around the Corner! This book's a great end-of-winter read for kids. The side story going on in this one (there's always a second story going on in the margins in Brett's books- you figure out how it all ties together in the end) is very cute! As always, I enjoyed Brett's beautiful illustrations. This book doesn't have too many words, so it's a great pick if you want your kids to read along with you!
