LUCY TRUMBULL, born March 17, 1748. Married Rev. Timothy Langdon, of Danbury, Ct., and had three children, 1. Timothy Langdon, who graduated at Yale College, 1806. Stvidied divinity with Rev. Nathan Perkins, D.D., "West Hartford. Had consumption, and went south for his health, where he died 1811, unmarried. 2. John Langdon, graduated at Yale College, 1809. Rector of Grammar School, Hartford. Tutor in Yale College, 1811 to 1815. Ordained to the ministry, and settled in Bethlehem, Ct., 1816. Married, first, Elizabeth, sister of Rev. John Pierrepont, and had four children. Married, second, Anna, sister of first wife, had no children. Was dismissed from church in Bethlehem, 1825, died 1830. 3. Lucy Langdon, married a Mr. Dodge and had children. (12) 27. IV. JOHN TRUMBULL, 45, born April 24, or 12 O. S., 1750, in Watertown, Ct. Died in the family of his daughter, Mrs. Julia Woodbridge, of Detroit, Mich. Graduated at Yale College, 1767. Tutor in Yale from 1771 to 1773, admitted to the bar in 1 773. He published "The Progress of Dulness" in 1772, and also many other short pieces. In 1775 commenced writing his Poert "McFingal," which he published in 1777. In Nov. 1776, he married Sarah, daughter of Col. Leveritt Hubbard, of New Haven. In May, 1777, he returned to his native place, and removed to Hartford, in June, 1781.
