Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A must-have for absolute beginner balcony gardeners This book covers the nitty gritty basics you need to know to start your balcony garden from scratch. Very essential information on buying containers, soil, manure...etc. all the supplies you need to begin with. Plants and herbs are broken-down in a neat format: how to grow, what pot size needed, when to grow it and how to harvest. It needs a little more information on where to grow the plant (sun/shade) but that's easily found elsewhere. Later chapters include good info as you advance along. The writing flows well and is easy to reference. I have this on my e-reader and highlighted what I needed to know and used it as my shopping list when I went to the nursery. After much browsing in the Gardening section, I recommend this book along with "The Balcony Garder" by Isabelle Palmer. This one for the basics and the latter for creative ideas. Enjoy those greens!
