Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappoiting I follow the AT blog and had high expectations for a book. Unfortunately this looked nice but lacked practical advice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a Valuable Book! I actually won this through an Instagram contest about 2-3 years ago and had no idea what a gold mine i had hit upon. I take it with me whenever I travel now, as this book is a constant source of inspiration. The rooms are simply exquisite and even the ones that aren't to my taste exactly are still photographed and styled in such an appealing way I can still appreciate the beauty in them. Not only is this book filled with beautiful homes, but Apartment Therapy actually makes styling your home, decor and maintenance so much more practical for people by breaking these seemingly complex concepts down into simpler terms and ideas, and by cleverly guiding one through the process from start to finish. There is even a cleaning calendar! This book continues to help me understand my own home and its needs and how to best bring out its natural beauty and not try to smother it or overindulge it with useless pieces of furniture that only add visual and mental clutter. This book has so much wisdom in it, something for everyone, really, that I must recommend it to everyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Lovely Read Containing some good pointers for being creative within a more limiting space than a full house, this book has a good quality of paper and pictures that makes sense with the $30 price. #plumreview

"Apartment Therapy is a trusted, go-to resource for many of us—and now it's a book. Apartment Therapy Complete and Happy Home is a must-have coffee table tome that shines a light on the seemingly lost art of homemaking." –Refinery29"The most definitive title from the blog that started a digital design phenomenon is a can't miss. Filled with helpful tips, inspiring photos, and approachable advice, it illuminates the design process for recreational designers who want to turn the everyday into something beautiful." –Lonny"The brains behind the always clever and creative Apartment Therapy website bring their expertise to the printed page with this value-loaded guide to finding and making a livable and personal home. Tips on choosing colors, floor plans—and even light bulbs—along with practical organizing and cleaning pointers make this a must-read." –Traditional Home"Even if she has the perfect house, there are great ideas to be had in [Apartment Therapy's] new book." –Every Day with Rachael Ray"Ryan and Apartment Therapy's executive editor, Janel Laban, have co-written a book that digs deep into the nitty-gritty of creating a home—the art of turning a few rooms full of furniture into a well-designed, livable, put-together space." –Houston Chronicle"Readers will find all the tools needed to find, make, and maintain a suitable home. Whether you're a seasoned homeowner looking to freshen up or organize your lair, or a first-time homeowner, this book might be just the ticket for taking your living space up a notch or two in the design department." –Detroit Home"Useful, pretty and full of information . . . The three-part book first helps you understand and evaluate your space and your personal style. In section two, you begin to train your eye by looking at 75 of the most well-styled rooms in the country.
