Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Vegan Cookbook! I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to try vegan cooking. The recipes are full of flavour and the book is full of helpful tidbits and information. It is also easy to modify ingredients to give your meal your own little twist. I have never been so excited about a cookbook ever! I look forward to getting the rest of Isa's books.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shows how to be vegan with fresh, healthy foods I think people can be disappointed to discover that being vegan or vegetarian doesn't automatically mean losing weight, so this guide to making healthier choices is definitely a welcome one. The recipes don't skimp on flavour even if they're low in fat and calories -- they don't feel like you're eating "diet" food. The recipes in here that I go back to again and again are the salad dressings -- i love having an option for dressings that isn't loaded with fat, but also isn't a preservative-heavy "lite" commercial dressing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy, Fast and Healthy If you are contemplating this cookbook you should probably just buy it. It is worth every penny. The recipes are enticing and contain accessible ingredients. This vegan cookbook is great because it uses whole food (no fake meats) and does not rely on canned and processed foods. Of course it uses canned beans to keep things fast. I have made the Lhasa curry, the black beans and mangos, the baked onion rings as well as the falafel. The falafel recipe is great because it is so easy and so tasty (no deep frying involved so you won’t stink up your house) I use the cookbook quite regularly and I have lent it to a friend. She asked to keep it a bit longer. Maybe she needs to buy a copy too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just love it! I am a newcomer to vegan cuisine and I am in love with the food now! A large part of that love comes from this book. The author, Chandra Moskowitz, know what she's doing. She has been a vegetarian since the 1980's, so trust me, she has perfected the recipes. There is so much choice and a chance to eat food that can sometimes be daunting (or have the ick factor) for some people, like tofu, for example. Moskowitz has covered entrees, appetizers, snack and desserts. She has truly inspired me to eat healthier and keep my meat intake to a minimum. Try it, you'll love it!
