Rated 5 out of 5 by from An absolute all-time favourite! A delightful story about a little bird who hatches while his mom is away getting worms for him. He falls out of his nest and wanders everywhere looking for his mother until he is neatly returned to his nest by a bucket loader and reunited with his mother. Our children have always loved this one. It has P.D. Eastman's classic writing and illustrations. It has a simple storyline, repetitive so that our children can easily anticipate or recite the story for themselves. It's endearing and sweet, and a frequent request, especially at bedtime. #plumreview

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Got my Little One to Say Mom We read this book a lot on our home in hopes that our little one would say mom first. He said dad in the morning but a few hours later while reading this is said mom! The colours are easy for him to see from a young age so he has always enjoyed this book!

Hand picked by our Panel of Experts the IndigoKids Recommends program offers book suggestions designed to help you find the perfect book easily and confidently. Are You My Mother? is the winsome and, at times, very funny story of a baby bird who has fallen out of his nest. Kind of lonely and looking to imprint, the little bird begins an informal survey, asking all manner of creatures and things the all-important question: Are you my mother? Little listeners will giggle at the improbability of some of the bird's potential mothers -- a cow, a dog and even an airplane! Of course, in the end, a wonderful moment of recognition brings mother and baby together again.
