Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent theory and collection of monologues I used to be quite involved in the theater and took a step back from it for many years. Something drew me to it again recently and, having an interest in all things dramatic, I just finished reading author Frank Catalano's "The Art of the Monologue". First of all, I found the Kindle formatting to be perfect. Aside from that I loved the detail that Catalano put into his teaching of performance theory. It taught me a great deal and I'd recommend this read for those aspects alone. I found the collection of monologues to be varied, entertaining and very well organized so that anyone should be able to find something to suit their particular needs. A well written and worthwhile read.
