Some heroes aren’t born… they’re built.

Book 2 in the thrilling Building a Hero trilogy from bestseller Tasha Black. See where it all started in Book 1, Reconstructed, on sale now.

Taken against his will, Edward Dalton wakes to find himself prisoner to the paramilitary organization that’s haunted his dreams since they left him broken and lost all those years ago. Dalton learns he is the only subject from the original experiment to be able to control his horrible new powers and tame the beast they put inside him. His captors believe he holds the secret to their success, and they are willing to take it, by any means necessary.

Elizabeth Sterling is a vision of love from a simpler time, but she’s got something to hide. If Dalton can learn to trust her, she might be just the person he needs to save his skin. But is she too late to save his soul?

Meanwhile, Westley Worthington struggles to use his newfound abilities to rescue his friend, and win back the love of his life, Cordelia Cross. Will being Augmented allow him to do both?

Find out in the second full-length novel in the Building a Hero trilogy from bestseller Tasha Black.

Author’s Note:

Building a Hero is a trilogy of full-length novels of 200-300 pages each. It is not a serial with short installments and cliffhangers. Each book has its own, complete story arc. However, like all trilogies, books 1 and 2 do leave some unanswered questions to be resolved in book 3. Thanks for reading!

Tasha Black has become one of the most fantastic storytellers in my experience. She has done incredible research into the science of prosthetics and beyond! Some of the fight scenes were so realistic, I cringed. The sexy parts that keep you up reading late into the night are done with a gentle hand that will melt you into a puddle on your chair. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super fantastic Amazing storyline, amazing characters. Cordelia is still having trouble with the bite on her hand. The bite and her feeling edward is in trouble seems to be connected. So she checked out Edwards apartment. Finding it trashed and blood on the floor. West joined her. West seems to be a whole new set of problems for Cord her feeling for him keeps her from thinking clearly and there is the huge wall of trust issues she has about him. Can she trust him with her heart? Maybe but not with her sister's heart or well being. West is going overboard with his helping out the city as a type of super hero- do gooder getting hurt left and right. And that's just the tip of this amazing story. It's just wow. More twists and turns and intrigue then you can handle lol

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superhero Material Cordelia is helping West get through the changes to his body after his accident. West is getting used to the upgrades to his body. Jess is trying to talk West into using his new and improved powers to help clean up the neighborhood. Dalton is on vacation. Mallory is smart and entertaining and constantly working to improve West's nanoparts. Meanwhile, Cordelia and West figure out that Dalton is missing and try and figure out what they can do. West and Cordelia are falling for each other but, will the miss communications between them pull them apart. This is an excellent continuation from book one in this series and may give us a new superhero. I loved the twists and turns, the adventure, the suspense, the humorous banter. The high tech drama is new for shifter books so that is really an intriguing addition to this story. I had to finish this book in one setting because I was drawn into the storyline and now I can't wait to see what happens in the next book.
